Buying bonds is for idiots, yes. You lose more than 50% of your money instantly becuase it's a shit rate. No one gets banned for buying gold.

I have 200m right now, but I didn't start making money at an acceptable rate until I had a couple hundred hours in the game to unlock all pre-req quests and figure out what methods work best for me.

I might not have nearly 200m in the bank, but I have nearly the opposite experience that you have. I was handed an obby cape, zerker ring, and 2-3m in other misc items I sold on the GE via a drop party and I didn't let it affect me in a way that made me lazy and not make gold or improve my account. If anything that stuff helped me to give me a drive that made me want to work on my account.

Primarily do X staking and had too much to be reasoanbly cleaned, large stakes are rare.

Choose the right people to sell to and the right ways to do it. You can sell 500M to sketchy chinese lvl 3s and get banned, or you can sell 5B to someone via a single stake that knows what they're doing.

Apart from that, RWT bans are not what many people expect them to be. Jagex wants you to think if you buy gold you will be banned instantly by their amazing detection systems. I've bought billions on main accounts before just trading level 12 characters in free to play lumbridge. Never got a single warning, ban, or anything for buying no matter how obviously I did it.

Shame. Shoulda given a heads up.

making dart tips/knives for smithing is pretty chill. buy one bar and see how much you profit/lose before buying a bunch though. construction is simple, just use oak planks to build whatever uses the most planks.
