it's soul crushing. Do all the quests, get ~40 in all the skills then buy 45 days of membership for $15. After that if you play a respectable amount you should be self-sufficient.

Sustain by getting a 99 in a buyable that you end up profitting from ie cooking or fletching and from their reinvest the profits into gear to do pvm. Do quests such as waterfall and tree gnome village to get easy combat XP to level you up to around 50 melee stats.

Bonds are membership in item form, when you buy membership it will be an item you can use on yourself. They cost about 3.3m right now, so you should be earning at least that much every 15 days to sustain yourself indefinitely. It's not hard, some easy methods include Runecrafting, Fletching, Cooking, and Farming
