Wyatt Powell
It's cool for gaming on the couch.
Nicholas Powell
They dont have big picture mode in their normal releases for linux?
Lincoln Rodriguez
It's true, they do, but SteamOS is better suited for the couch. If you were to run something like Mint + Big Picture for the living room, you'd need a spare keyboard and mouse laying around.
Of course using SteamOS on the desktop is just plain stupid.

Real question should be: wayland not the most cancerous, broken piece of shit since the invention of computers when?
Levi Peterson
Wayland works wonders today. Try out the Fedora 27 Beta! The implementation of Wayland + GNOME is really well done.
It's about time we replace X11, and Wayland is getting really close. We just need drivers really.
Gabriel Ortiz
I'm loving this recent surge in flatpak torrents on tpb. Pirate or not, I see it as a big step for gaming on Linux.
Is it possible for udev's dualshock 4 calibration to fail? I don't have this weird problem when launching games with steam but sometimes game I bought from gog wrongly assumes I'm pushing down the joystick when I'm not.
Anyone know how to overide whatever was detected?
Ryder Murphy
My Xbox One S controller does something similar when it's connected via Bluetooth. I have no idea what's causing it though...
Jackson Kelly
Nope. Fuck Windows and fuck you too. Go be a shill somewhere else.
Ethan Long
>try out wayland >complete system freeze >google it >known issue since 9 years ago, never been fixed lol >shittons of glitches and bugs of all kinds with regard to UI element rendering, regardless of compositor lol >works wonders today lol shill fuck off.
Nolan Hernandez
It's extremely sad that flatpaks are needed in the first place. Something's obviously inherently wrong that needs to be fixed before we can rejoice in such hacks. Hell, I see solutions like dockers as being a shitload cleaner (docker's implementation is dogshit, however, and beyond that it's possible to use unionfs and the likes to maintain a core "system" set vs everything else efficiently through automatic dependency tracking in a tree structure, most depth should be very small and compaction in the form of copying could be automatic)
Adrian Perez
Insert "works on my machine" meme here. No but sorry dude. I haven't experienced any problems like that myself. You're missing out lad.
Yeah maybe flatpaks aren't the best thing about the whole situation, but I'm still happy something is actually happening. It's a step in the right direction.
