For some reason I like few KMT tracks more than NES ones
Wyatt Gutierrez
How? I feel like they're pretty much all exclusive inferior, that's because MT2 already has 16bit music thanks to the Namco chip they used that added 8 extra channels.

What's the best fusion system in the series? DeSu's my favorite. It lets you choose what a demon inherits but with some restraints. It avoids IV's problem of giving you too much freedom with results in every demon being the same. I prefer not having to go in and out of the cathedral's menu for 5 minutes trying to get a skill set that you're not even sure the demon can inherit.
John Lopez
I like IV and Apocalypse's system. The problem with IV was that it was an easy game to break, not really due to the fusion system. Apocalypse fixes that and retains the same fusions.
John Ramirez
4, I don't understand people that like the limitations, 4 simply cuts out the bullshit grind waste of time and nothing more.
Sebastian Bailey
Apocalypse with PQ as a close second.
Affinities are fun and make demons with dedicated builds more useful, like ailment casters.
PQ is fun because it limits how much you can carry over... Although in hindsight it's probably the exact same as in P5, but I really didn't enjoy P5 that much to find it memorable.
Joseph Sanders
It's funny because the voice actress likes to be PC that supports censorship during localization. But she keeps getting loli roles that get lewd scenes because she can only do one voice.

Is SMT the hardest JRPG series?
Nathaniel Hall
Best boy Angels can't lie, you know what you're getting Eternal peace
Kayden Phillips
>Angels can't lie, you know Merkabah lies to you a lot
>Megaten.exe won't archive or unpack using 7zip or winrar >most sprite extracters work on Roms/isos, trying tilemolester gave me garbage I couldn't even understand, while KMT and SMT1 had the assets seen even if it wasn't in proper colours since you have to mess around with that first >other extractors won't work on my pc or fail also >something about no permissions when using icon or universal extractor Man when will nakajima come and let the demons out?
Cameron Johnson
Not even a little bit. SMT is the hardest "mainstream" rpg series.
Hello /smtg/ friends. With the impending release of DSJ, I decided to make an improved version of the Doom mod. Some of the new features are:
* A new map (SMT1 Basilica B3) * A secret map accessible from Antlia F1 * Demons have weaknesses/resistances to certain attack types, and can even block and repel attacks. Their weaknesses/resistances should be the same as in the DS game. * Space marine carries elemental guns, e.g. the ice super shotgun. * Demon ally AI improved for Hua Po at least * You can now summon at most one demon of any of the three types.
Supported on GZdoom only. Dynamic lights (lights.pk3, brightmaps.pk3) are recommended. Also please note that I haven't playtested any of the maps very much and kind of rushed the making of the second map, which turned out to be a lot larger than expected.
Jaxon Gonzalez
tell me ONE thing in smt that comes close to adventurer in Bravely Second in terms of difficulty
I'll wait
Levi Scott
youre the man, man
Daniel Ward
No one plays squeenix games, user.
Sebastian Hill
I bought bravely second and dropped it after 3 hours. The first one was cake for the most part. Those game are more rng than starting of smt games
Asher Jones
The Basilica looks and sounds great
Ryder Adams
Fucking incredible
Ayden Cooper
Are those dildo healthpacks?
Liam Fisher
Figures. For what purpose? Now I just want to fucking crack it if I actually had the skill to do so.
Robert Perez
>For what purpose? Japanese love DRM and obfuscating the everloving shit out of their stuff.
Dominic Carter
9/10 hope you do more friend. This is great
Someone put this in the bin
Nathan Stewart
>it's easier than smt >i haven't played it, haha kys
>play smt >get to boss/hard enemy >find out its weakness >spam stat buff/debuffs and weakness til dead
>play bd >have to carefully pick classes based on character strengths >get to boss/hard enemy >have to carefully conserve mp, be aware when stat buffs/debuffs wear off, and have to bring along proper healing options, since I can't 2 turn a boss like in smt >also have to focus on the individual challenge each boss presents and form a proper strategy, it's not just a straight up dps war >instead of doing autistic shit like raising shop prices on hard the only part of gameplay that's affected are battles, which is fair and how it should be
Adam Ramirez
>since I can't 2 turn a boss like in smt I was with you until then.
Grayson Powell
SMTV looks OK, but will you be able to climb mountains? I think not.
Camden Martin
The first was just save up +3 dish damage then repeat. Hope boss doesn't spam his special attack multiple times.
Bravely has bosses with weaknesses to genius. It's the bosses that don't that are hard
Tyler King
Strange Journey is boring and not that good.
Lincoln Moore
little bit of exaggeration but you get the point user
>save up +3 dish damage what >hope boss doesn't spam special attack bosses rarely have special attacks >bosses with weaknesses weaknesses where if you hit them it doesn't give you extra turns or other dumb shit like smirking or one more >bosses that don't which make up like 70% of the bosses in either game fuck 70% of smt bosses have weaknesses to exploit the hell out of
Brandon Adams
>>get to boss/hard enemy >>find out its weakness >>spam stat buff/debuffs and weakness til dead
>implying that's not literally all rpgs
Carter Carter
i know this is bait but please apply yourself, you switched goalposts from Bravely Default to Bravely Second
Luke Bell
>using nu smt as a baseline for difficulty
What did he mean by this?
Gavin Green
Fuck no
Grayson Evans
You guys should really play Bravely Default though.
Chase Allen
yes, and that's why BD stands out
BD was just an offhand way to refer to the whole series
every relevant smt game uses press turn.
if you want to talk smt1 or 2, then i'll just say zio and gem farming, respectively.
Gavin Davis
I'd rather play SJ and just restart every time I hit Delphinus.
Tyler Gutierrez
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought for sure BD had weaknesses even on bosses.
Alexander Davis
I remember hearing good things about it, i might check it out if there's enough room left on my 3ds sd card.
Christopher Perry
Who the hell is this retard talking?
Chase Cruz
i found two of the main characters annoying. i only liked the mrgl girl, i was indifferent to the main guy. the stupid book that guy had though really ruined the narrative for me. "where do we go/what do we do? lets check the book!" i played like 20 hours and i just called it quits after that. the gameplay was fun anf i liked the job system, it was new to me since ive never played a FF game or anything with a job system
Luis Hill
I did, three fucking times and dropped because of that shitty stretch of game time and other reasons.
Asher White
Most of the monsters do. It's the human bosses that had no weaknesses.
Jack Hill
Most of the human bosses were a joke though. Only 2 or 3 in each game that are very hard. Ability to save almost anywhere migrates the risk as well.
The first game was alright up until that stupid forced replay shit, so I dropped it. It didn't really get me excited for Second.
Jacob Roberts
>no one edited Komm Susser Todd with the conception event for Nocturne
Asher Smith
I miss /bdg/
Aaron Butler
Holy shit I didn't even look at how retarded that image was until after I posted it. I'm so sorry.
David Lee
I thought you were intentionally going for a god tier shitpost.
Evan Carter
I'll accept your apology if you give me 1 million macca.
Jack Morales
I was fine with chapter 5 because there was nuanced changes to the story that were intriguing to go through. Chapter 6 is where I had to drop the game for a bit because it was the exact same shit. The Chapter 7 and 8 mixups made up for it because the boss battles hit cuhrayzee levels of strategy.
Landon Walker
...
Nicholas Gonzalez
it makes it better
Brayden Wood
No way, pal, I already know the shitty gimmick that game has near the end, and I'll pass.
Logan Ross
Will I ever be as cool as Kaneko?
Dylan Brooks
>defending for 3 turns followed by dishing damage accounts for strats
I see
Lincoln Gomez
No, but I wouldn't feel too bad about as no one else will either.
Henry Ramirez
>The Chapter 7 and 8 mixups made up for it because the boss battles hit cuhrayzee levels of strategy. Wasn't every battle just using that shielding class to barrier your party followed by DPS?
Kayden Ramirez
The rest of the game has finally caught up with the Frost Cannon. Which gun should I use now?
Joshua Wood
>Barbarossa shell splits >Praline sings Love Power >All the while Qada's on a timer >"I will surely live if I do nothing for 3 turns"
Where are you and what alignment are you? The frost cannon can last until you get your final gin in all honesty.
Cooper Turner
It's just not possible, man.
Grayson Gutierrez
halfway through fornax and chaos
Matthew Cooper
You mean Rampart? That only blocks one attack on each party member. It's enough for most fights, but not the chapter 8 central command ones.
Robert Moore
Literally just Someone is just shilling DB as deep and difficult because he's a shitter
>not doing basic math to know when the healer needs to do his fucking job
2 support 2 damage for the entire game. Takes forever but it works
Thomas Miller
Golden gun against tiamat Just fight black rider for material Other than that Frost gun is alright for main weapon until you get Meteor Dragoon/Jestcost/Peacemaker
