Pandas and enu for the most part. It's easier to say what we don't need more of, which is eca/ougi/iop kind of thing.

What makes Panda and Jews good?

I always have some characterics that im looking for in a character whenever I play a game. For me its a) The character has to have summons/companions of any kind and b) The character needs to be nauticaly themed

In Heroes of the Storm for example I aspired to buy every Hero who can summon mobs

In Dofus I directly picked Fogger because he combines both characteristics. Apart from him I picked Eca,Sacr,Sadi and Osa as secondary characters because they can summon mobs. I also like Eca because I like cats and I named my Eca after my cat

Additionaly a friend of mine always picks warriors in any kind of game especially the honourable kind.

So everyone who cant decide what to play; just think of a few characteristics you like roleplaying wise or aesthetic wise and then look which classes fulfills those the most.

I initially was interested in Foggernaut since I like turrets in pretty much every game and I like water themes, but as far as I know and been told that Foggernaut isn't very good outside of PvP and no one plays them.

It also helps a lot that every class in dofus is completely viable

Pandas have good damage, vulnerability debuff to help us burst shit up, and above all, god-tier map manip ability (put lone enemies in our midst, throw an ally into range, help place a rogue's bombs, etc.)
Jews is self-explanatory, they help us drop stuff. They also have the best MP removal in the game, can give MP to allies, and can summon a bag that will take damage instead of anyone in range of the time it was summoned.

He can hold his own in PvE. You just need to keep your distance from enemy mobs as good as possible and to put your turrets strategically. Not too far and not too close.

You can do treasure hunts or leach off the big boys' fights.

What are treasure hunts? Who are the big boys?

The big boys are whoever is higher level in your guild and a treasure hunt is started [-25,-36]. It will give you a start position and ask you to find maps which have a specific feature (e.g. "fruit net"). Find 3-5 such hints to reach the next step out of up to 3 such steps, then you fight a treasure chest. This will give you tons of exp as well as some decent prizes.

Ranged damage, range debuff, positioning, mp debuff are the name of the game.
They deal insane damage AND heal AT THE SAME TIME.

Why do people even spend time to make a character look good? As you progress you will get more endgame gear which will cover up your whole character.
