Obama won with only 37 percent of the white vote though in a landslide. Lower black turnout doomed Hilary; Michigan and Wisconsin and other swing states were so fucking close that just a couple more thousand black voters would have flipped it.

Electoral college needs to be abolished. And I'm not just saying that now, I've wanted it gone for years. It's a blight on our politics and is incredibly undemocratic. It flies in the face of the idea of "one person, one vote". A vote in California or Texas is nowhere near as powerful as a vote in New Hampshire or Florida.

The sad part is that everyone will just forget about it and then we'll go through this same song and dance again, over and over and over. And believe me when I say that there will be more and more elections where the electoral winner is not the same as the popular vote winner, they have this shit down to a science.
