Hunter Shot, Menacing Howl, Stun Shot (and on the hawk side Aerial Talons, Sky Dive and Feather Storm) use the pet's LUC - only Foot Pierce uses the Rover's and that is more of a damage skill since it also works if the enemy was already leg bound.
With higher levels of Hound Whistle the doggo gets more LUC.

I'm kinda considering respeccing my Cannon Dragoon to a Shield Dragoon. He never has time to use Buster Cannon against FOEs or bosses anyway because he's busy helping proc chains, so it seems sorta pointless to not go for the Shield spec.

These postgame guests really boost the effectiveness of chain parties. All they have to do is auto attack with a shaman buff and they'll add like 10k extra chain damage over two turns.

Sine EOU accumulated resistance have been falling of naturally. Only in EOIII and EOIV did they stay around forever.

So after a few turns it should be possible to inflict stuff on them again - although a part of the resistance stays around if I understood it coorectly.

I know chain blast is broken. But I almost never use it. I use Mana Heal 90% of the time and the heal/revive the other 9%

How does Poison work in this game? Cause it seems no matter what it does 5x to me, but if I poison its like 1xx to mobs. This also kills my backrow

Level up your poison skills

Poison is not based on any stat. It is highly dependant on the skill it gets inflicted by and in your case on your level.
More than any other skill it scales massively with the level of your poison skill - which means it can reach crazy damage numbers early but tapers out pretty quickly since you can not raise the level of poison skills any further than mastered.

The only protection from poison is poison resistance (or at least higher LUC) to prevent infliction, there is no way to reduce its damage.

Harbinger Whittling Miasma lowers all resistances to ailments and binds on enemies, Botanist Toxic Miasma tries to inflict poison with a low chance and also lowers poison resistance afterwards.
Both make it easier to inflict poison but they do not change the poison damage.

Barrage Pugilist Fault Blocker and Herald Shaman Exorcism Prayer make it less likely for you to be inflicted by ailments and binds.
But usually you use accessories to gain immunity to one ailment. Although they are not necessary available at the beginning.

Lions never party swipe anyone, just 1-2 explores, and they are not hard to kill. And if you kill the ghost, you can just run away while they are sleeping.
Flowers in EOIV are pathetic when you compare them to previous games.
