Also the way the camera gets completely fucked if you get close the the wyvern boss or miniboss. At least ds2 had the decency to make some surfaces transparent so that your camera doesn't snap back and forth when they come into view.

Because it's a series staple but From can't balance magic. Not as long as you can just hang around the leash range of mobs and pelt them while they just waddle back and forth.
That's not a reason for it to take so long. It doesn't add any difficulty or depth factor like using a something like a charm would and it doesn't give you an advantage in combat like a brightbug or something.

Like at 40 dex. Can a Sharp Katana, Maybe Uchi or Washing Pole, can do more damage than a fireclaymore? Or is comparing Katanas to greatswords are pointless? Like is there something as greatswords are always stronger than katanas or lighter swords?

i don't have experience playing souls with my steam pad, but i think id have issues with only one analog stick. I also have no clue how you'd claw grip on the steam pad for moving the camera while running. I guess it all depends on how well you can get the right touchpad setup for camera control and whether it's comfortable for your hands user

It'll do more damage than a Fire Claymore in most cases because the Claymore would be split non-scaling elemental damage of the worst kind while the katanas would have their first damage softcap on a relevant infusion for them.

Katanas can be used aggressively in pvp, while greatswords are better as reactive/defensive weapons. Both have good dps. Also, I hope you're not planning to stop at 40 dex because 75-80 is the real way

I did a Pyromancer once, and I kinda want to do one again, but I really don't want to resign myself to a caster. Can I do a 30/30 or 35/35 Int/Faith pyro knight, maybe infuse some weapons and take the non-scaling pyromancies?

After infusion changes sharp gets great gains until 40dex. Barely anything between 41-69 and after that it picks up until 80.
