No. It must be objective, with all the memes out. I'm not surprised that the horatiofaggot is a shitposter, but I'm surprised that the gang shitpost too.

So I WANT to get into Cities: Skylines, but if the starting maps are this incompetently made I don't think I can.

Bentley Murphy
tfw you spend weeks playing civ VI, because civ VI hype, trying to figure out the game. It looks so nice. The new gameplay mechanics show so much promise. No matter how many times you tweak the map or what mods you try, you just can't seem to get a satisfying game. See Endless Legend in my steam library. >that game had some cool combat but surely it can't compete with civ VI right? I mean Civ has always been the best. After many a more frustrating hours of trying into the Civ VI finally decide to give Endless Legend another go. >Instantly captivated. >Instantly fun. >Instantly feel like I'm in control of my empire again. >oh EL i should have come back to you sooner and should never have doubted you.
It's just amazing what a pile of garbage civilization has devolved into. The gane was released yet again in such an unfinished state that it' s unplayable. And after a year there is literally no attempts to try and fix the game although they're still able to push out another shitty dlc every other week.
Hunter Garcia
>how to fuck up near perfect game
Austin Wilson
The sauce must flow
Kayden Bailey

> civ VI hype
What hype? Anyone can tell you that it's the worst Civ launch, and the worst 4X launch since SotS2.
Isaac Gonzalez
I forced a hyperlane only game and research-cheesed to be the only guy with Jump Drives. There's a Devouring Swarm with twice my fleet desperately following me around as I jump between two spiral arms taking his planets.
I can see why Wiz didn't want to have to try to balance this.
Jaxson Davis
How do you research cheese?
Noah Evans
You need the Milk strategic resource I found a ruined Science Nexus right next to my house and focused on bringing it back up.
Easton Flores
But to do anything with a science nexus, don't you need major mineral income, thus forcing you into the same playstyle as everyone else?
Isaiah Allen
You're making the first newbie mistake, extening the initial highways for a reason beyond providing a foundation for an initial 4 lane avenue or roundabout.
Christian Reed
That wasn't an attempt at a city; I was extending the initial highways to test if the map would be viable down the road once I started to expand.
It's not. At least not until I can expand to the outlying tiles, and even then I would have to manually rebuild the pre-existing highways one-by-one.
Brayden Gonzalez
Nah, just like 20 or 30 k.I kept my planets under ten and focused entirely on defense and building up my infrastructure. Once I had my defenses set up I could bleed off the larger empires by ambushing their transports and getting their doomstacks stuck on one planet while I built up a counter.
I actually got up to 58k mineral limit several times while waiting for the ascension perks I needed. Spent my time refurbishing a ring world.
Isaiah Sanders
>everyone i dont like is sipderfag dumb horatiofag
Samuel Moore
...
Nolan Hughes
So, what was your approximate date and monthly mineral income when you began the nexus project?
Ian Martinez
I don't remember the exact date, but average mineral income was in the 400s.
Anthony Bailey
>Enemy AI declare war and capture one of my cities/systems/planets >My own army/fleet is close to reclaiming it >Allied AI comes turn before that and take my city/system/planet on its own and refuse to give it back
Every 4x game, everytime.
By the way, how much would be "1 population" in Civ IV? Aka, how big would be city with 30 pop in real life?
Chase Watson
>By the way, how much would be "1 population" in Civ IV? Aka, how big would be city with 30 pop in real life? That doesn't make much sense. Historically, cities and populations were mostly stagnant or oscillating. Its only thanks to modern agriculture and medicine that population really started to grow.
Connor Lee
Not if you had migration to it.
Angel Morris
I just want to imagine what kind of monster must had been AI in Caveman 2 Cosmos game where it once captured my 150 pop city and razed it instantly for no reason.
Aaron Morgan
Nope. Cities actually had to sustain by immigration. Because historically, people died faster than they were born in cities.
It's a logarithmic scale. A 30-pop city has much more than 30 times the number of people than a 1-pop city.
For Civ 4 the exact formula is 1000*Population^2.8.
Samuel Bennett
So a 30pop city would have about 14 million.
Camden Powell
~1.24 billion deaths.
Hudson Stewart
>Caveman 2 Cosmos
thanks for reminding me this unfiltered, concentrated autism exists.
isn't it literally impossible to finish (or even get a bit into) due to loading times getting absurdly long after you'd played a while?
Jeremiah Reed
Holy fucking shit.
Why AI likes to raze cities so much?
Nathan Cooper
I stopped caring about that everseething pile of putrid garbage after every single settler I've ever made got killed by one of the millions of random fucking wolves simply because settlers can't attack back
Camden Stewart
Childhood is hating Miriam because bullies you with her bullshit +25% attack units
Adulthood is realizing that Miriam was right
Andrew Wilson
Nah, like 4 or 5 years ago, it was still somehow playable until very last techs but then I realized that by mistake I allowed "mastery victory" or something like this, which wold null every other victory conditions, instead making them give bonus points when turn limit will hit. Which would take way too long. Second game was played on medium map and lasted until half of tech tree, when I reached culture victory. Was bearable however.
I wonder how would it run now. I mean, back then I had i5-750 CPU, now I have i7-6700k since last year so I wonder if that would speed things up. It did in case of Civ V where I finally could play largest map with many civs active.
Matthew Myers
I can't speak for the AI, but the problem with conquering people is that you have to govern them afterwards. If you just put all 1 billion of them into death camps then the problem is solved permanently.
Luis Moore
>the worst 4X launch since SotS2.
Beyond Earth still exists

What's wrong with BE besides "it's not Alpha Centauri 2"?
Thomas Sullivan
Why don't you just escort the settler with a military unit?
Ayden Foster
>Thing is hyped up as Alpha Centauri 2 >It's not Alpha Centauri 2 >not by a long fucking shit >"what's wrong with that lol"
fuck you
David Edwards
SotS2 basically killed its developer, reducing them to the point that they had to shift to roguelike games (the genre where hobbyists compete with each other to make a game over the course of a week). Beyond Earth was just a commercial flop.
Asher Jackson
>implying I cared about the hype I didn't even consider playing the game until long after the release
Josiah Hughes
isn't it still absurd, like 60,000 turns to reach the time limit and endgame being in space and shit?
i would like to play it some time because it seems like the cutting edge of how far you can push a game with mods
Samuel Edwards
ok
Christian Richardson
I cant really recall but it was more like 1000 turns limit.
Anyway, I still liked it and would play it again, to be honest. Week long games are actualyl kind of fun.
>tfw only you actually enjoyed Beru-Beru despite all her flaws
I guess its because I played Rising Tide first instead of base game at launch.
Luke Collins
Fuck off thundertits.
Lucas Morris
alright, I probably had it hyped up a bit, It's still hueg and impressive. Do you have to be a vic 4 pro to actually understand and enjoy the mod?
John James
It's just a 4X game on marathon mode. It's not complicated except in that the only people autistic enough to play it are welfare cases whose PCs are too ancient to handle modded Civ 4.
Luke Cooper
It obviously have never been beta tested.
Nicholas Gonzalez

Every FUCKING day with these STUPID fucking MEMES! I've had it up to HERE with stupid fucking memes! You guys make me want to KILL MYSELF! Is that what you fucking want? You guys are literally, L I T E R A L L Y incapable of having even the SIMPLEST of fucking discussion without "MEME THIS, MEME THAT, HAHA HORATIO SAUCE, HERE'S A PIC OF SPIDER, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA EBIN AMIRITE?"
