As someone who's played the Tekken series since the start, I can assure you that most Tekken players don't care about the guest characters and it won't change the overall opinion of the game. Personally I don't give a shit about Noctis as a character, but I'm interested in how he plays. If he plays like Akuma/Eliza or Geese then into the trash he goes, but if he actually feels like a Tekken character then people will enjoy him.
