we all started playing with 3.0 and im the only one who really got into maps, they got into like t5 before quitting
I mean yea the one good skill makes sense since you p much just spam one skill (or two) with most builds, but I guess I prefer that over mashing your keyboard in d3 to slowly kill the 10 trillion health enemies.

I played HC for the first and so far only time in the 1 week Legacy race. Gladiator 78% block/spellblock bitchboy. Died at 41 and restarted, got to 85 for a chance at whatever the reward was the second try. Toughest thing I tried was just breach + beyond T8s which were pieces of cake, I never got the currency or map-drops to try anything real high-level before it ended.

Basically it was fun as a thing to try but I'm way too shit at the game to try with an ACTUAL build and it was way too boring and easy on a maxblock Glad. As much as I love making builds, I hate the actual leveling through the acts too much to ever play Hardcore is what it comes down to. I can barely tolerate once per League/race as it is.

DESU that still looks too powerful for me unless there are a lot more changes. Leech just blows regen out the water too much, especially for attack builds. Just way too easy/cheap to pick up good leech while decent regen is always a 'build around' thing.

I've tried getting into this game but I always wind up unintentionally doing glass cannon builds and getting blown the fuck out at higher levels. Am I just playing the game wrong? Are glass cannon builds not that viable? I'm not sure if i should just follow someone elses build on forums.

Block takes a massive investment and so does regen. You'll be spending even more points into defense in the path of life nodes. Have fun with that.

VP nerf was justified but they need to move away from the monster burst damage design for it to work.

The only viable damage mitigation in PoE is more Life/ES with VP.
All others are too random and/or unreliable to save against random bursts.

My last character was an eva/dodge/enfeeble/temp chains Assassin with as much life i could get (+some leech from claw nodes) and was fine desu, i even killed Shaper for the first time with him!

Nah, you're right, getting one-shot isn't a challenge, it's frustrating. They also need to work on making Evasion and Armour viable as methods of defense. Dodge is okay and doesn't require a ridiculous investment to get a good amount of, especially with all the new modifiers to items. Plus it's close-ish to the old VP: aka available to Ranger and Shadow.

If you're not playing Gladiator block is ridiculous to max, and Regen doesn't work quickly enough in most cases, you're right.

Volley is literally the Volley Fire Jewel Split Arrow was gonna get, but as a support.
