Evelynn will have the ward disable flicker if she walks past a control ward while stealthed so if you spot that you know there's a control ward in that bush.
Don't be upset if a control ward spots you. It just means that instead of giving you a kill, they spent 75 gold to give you 30. Oh and sometimes people don't even pay attention to you walking past a control ward, so they spent 75 gold on nothing.
Build Lich Bane, Protobelt, and Meme Mask (liandries).
Aside from that it's basic assassin stuff. Play her enough to get used to her damage and power spikes, and understand when you can kill someone. There's nothing more embarassing than blowing your entire burst on an Ashe only for her to survive on 50 hp and use her vamp scepter to survive you trying to auto-attack her to death until your Q comes up and then dying to said Ashe before your Q comes up.

The trickiest part of playing her is probably teamfighting. You're super squishy so you need to flank and try to blow people in the back line up. Her diving tools aren't great so trying to go through the frontline is generally a fools errand.

Early on is straightforward. It's recommend putting a lot of MS bonuses in your runes, picking up mobis and chilling smite and ganking away. Then once you hit 6 her ganks are incredible.

So what are less obvious klepto users other than ez/gp? I can think of illaoi and fiora but it's matchup specific. Same seems to go for most mages and they usually use sorcery tree too good to pass it up, plus autoing is not always possible if you're long ranged.
On a kinda separate note I'm beginning to notice various gp mains saying that klepto is a noob trap and grasp is way better into most lanes. How true is that? My theorycrafting seems to say opposite but I'm not a gp main.
