Is it possible to play this game like CK2 but set in modern times?
Can I create a powerful and lasting dynasty and populate entire regions with my kinfolk?
Can I amass a king's ransom by extortion, conquest, taxation, and investments?
Can I do all of that and more on a Pirated copy?

I haven't played any of the sims game before and yesterday I bought Sims 4, the get together pack, the spa pack and one other small item pack that I don't give a shit about. A bundle thing. The game was on sale.

Is there any other packs that I "need" for now. I hear Sims 4 is the worst game in the series or something, but I had a great time playing Sims 4 all day yesterday.

I'm just asking since the deals are pretty good now and I don't want to miss out on something super important.

Sims 3 will be closest to what you're looking for. Big seamless towns with hundreds of Sims and you can create your own with its own businesses, clubs, facilities, etc. Real estate and the like are a thing too and yes you can have a big family and spread them across town, though the genetics system is worse than in Sims 2 as it doesn't account for whether traits like blonde hair or blue eyes are recessive and the mutation chance for random traits is bonkers without mods to fix it.

Cats really piss me off, Buy them like 10 scratching posts and still they scratch my furniture, Repairing scratched furniture is expensive as hell. I can't deal with cats, It could be that owning 6 cats is just too frustrating but I'm gonna stick with dogs.

If the whole teaching them not to do bad shit wasnt broken, it'd be fine. But no, i can teach my cat 10 times not to jump on benches and it still will.

Christ all these bugs and weird ass changes really starting to make me regret updating for pets. I thought i could deal with a few bugs.

Do you really, honestly fucking think it's a good idea to make The Sims as graphically intensive game?

Not the guy, but I do. Just offer it as an option for those with the hardware to use it. And I don't mean stuff like fur, necessarily, since that'd require dedicated work, but more range of options like higher resolution textures (since artists work on those at high res anyway which then get scaled down for final release) and that sort of thing.

How good are the console TS3 and 4? They both run like ass on my beefy PC and nothing I try makes a difference, are the PS versions better optimized? AFAIK TS3 has save problems and TS4 controls poorly, is that true?
