In the early game when your weapon and summon grid both amount to only about 15k attack combined, the raw stats a gun provides as well as the raw attack EMPs on characters play a big role in damage output.

As you approach endgame with FLB weapons and +99 on weapons, the attack difference between a stick or a gun is hardly noticeable. The importance of weapon skills, like on Ecke Sachs - a weapon with only 1677 attack at MLB - is far more important.

/gbfg/ is still filled with people with a 2016/early 2017 mentality where base raw stats and Cosmos (lol) played a much bigger role than it does now.

so does the true whale should spark during a +1 promotion if that's the case? I mean, to get an edge with someone with the same grid, they could do this right?

I believe wind magna with 2930 atk guns is better than mlb sachs, also much less resources.

But most people slowly accrue +1 from HL and daily rupee draw.

I have never seen anyone spark during +1 fest. You can accumulate a lot over time from just doing HL magnas and rupie draws.

The fact that eggsacks have crit makes up the difference. Off element, wind would win of course.

A magna mlb ecke grid on average would deal more damage than a flb magna wind grid if they had the same characters. There is no problem with eckes, it's just a painful grind.

Not true. Magna dark has almost the same type of disparity of axes to claws, and claws have pretty weak base attack stats in general.
