yes. all login rewards are family(account) bound.
Having multiple alts serves some purposes like doing some crucial daily quests, having one alt at the market place for bidding and most important energy pools. Each character has it's own energy pool that slowly regens over time.

if you're American not really, aside from the waifu simulation the game is basically an asia grinder with zerg pvp as endgame. That in mind the game is unplayable with more than 80ms ping and NA servers have frequent 30 seconds rollbacks, minute long lags and horrible desync.

If you're on EU go for it.
