That was great, elite korean players including the TWT champion get sweeped by a team of pure Gigas.
Parker Sanchez
how the FUCK do i get good with leo?
Ryan Foster
how good?
Brody Torres
>he can't do well with leo Jesus, maybe paul is your character.
Kevin Gomez
Is Gigas "bad" from the get go or does it only become apparent in high level play?
Nolan Thomas
Propably highlevel thing. He has gimmicks so he can dominate at low level.
Mason Clark
just bought the game and I like it a lot more than 2d fighters already, I can see myself sinking a ton of time into tekken already
I decided to just grind out mishimas since I liked their pressure from watching some tournaments. I can electric only like a fifth of the time (lmao) after trainingboaring for a couple hours.
The question I have is if anyone else has an ls-32 stick, the tips I've heard seem to apply more to people using a jlf or whatever. Does anyone else here have a seimitsu stick and play mishimas? Is doing an electric any different on a stick with a shorter throw/tighter spring?
Parker Gray
How the fuck do I suppose to beat Paul when I'm playing chracters that have no range against his Demoman/Deathfist mixup?
Jeremiah Foster
Leo is very well-rounded, man. Play him/her/it whatever you like.
Logan Adams
You can block the low sweep of the demoman on reaction. Idk about deathfist mixup though
Aaron Ward
for paul's deathfist, sidestep left
Xavier Hernandez
>You can block the low sweep of the demoman on reaction
Evan Roberts
>15f >block on reaction You must make a choice
Mason Hill
No his struggles are apparent even at a low level, just not as glaring as they are at high level. But you can play literally anyone up till yellow and it will be more about your fundamentals rather than your character.
You can play anyone early on, even Gigas. BUT you will have to work a little harder.
Ayden Carter
how do hitboxes work in this game
I know there is collision detection but moves still have custom hitboxes right? where to look them up?
tfw the bad guy's moves beat mine every time
Brayden Rivera
One stick doesn't have an advantage over another when it comes to doing electrics. It's all preference.
Ethan Lewis
t. stuck on blue
Nathan Gray
>where to look them up That's rediculous. Tekken is a 3D fighting game with over two thousand moves, you're not going to be able to find data on the hit spheres/cubes
All you need to know about move properties in regards to hitboxes are 'high, mid, lowmid, low, floorlow' and 'crushes highs/mids/allmids/alllows'.
AoP on Ling for example puts her low to the ground, allowing her to duck all mids except those with a low hitbox. You see that move and know 'okay, i need to use certain moves to counter this'. Likewise, if you read the other guy using a high like a jab you can go 'ok, i will use a move thay crushes high like a snake edge'
Jason Garcia
Can you block hellsweeps on reaction as well?
Brandon Howard
They're hitspheres. I'm not sure if there's a publicly available tool for viewing them. You'll probably just have to test shit out in training mode.
Wyatt Taylor
orange rank
Blake Roberts
so it uses those same spheres for all the moves and it just depends which person hits the other first?
are those huge ones for shoulder attacks or what?
Nolan Thompson
not for DJ though there's just something weird about him
John Turner
team green unite! pad players unite!
Hudson Smith
how are you supposed to punish anything with delay netcode + input delay
lmao it's minus but they're already pressing a counterhit move before you realize what the move was
Ethan Sullivan
...
Adam Gutierrez
Sorry can't help you. I only got Leo to jugglernaut.
Noah Butler
You know, that to react i15 move you have 10-11 frame time to react to the animation. And thats if animation is regonizable at frame 1 and you are playing v-synch off.
Aaron Hill
Ganryu is so much fun, just tried him in Tag 2 earlier I honestly think he'd be my main if he were in 7 They really dropped the ball with 7's roster, huh?
Sebastian Cruz
If you play 4 or 5 bars, delay is about same as offline. Thats becouse part of offline delays is online buffer that is on even offline, propably to make game play same online and offline.
Nolan Russell
Why does every Ling and Hwo lag?
Tyler Murphy
The way I see it, Harada is trying to get new players into Tekken. Katarina and Claudio are very noob friendly, Akuma/Geese reveal was a massive publicity boost, and now Noctis will bring in alot of FF fans who might become a Tekken fan. I do hope Harada bring back atleast two more legacy characters but I don't expect him to bring back all.
Blake Anderson
After hundreds of hours spent playing Mishimas I think I'm gonna take a long break from them, I'm sick of losing to people I know I'm actually better than
Which non Mishima would you recommend if you like Kazuya? I'm considering Feng or Leo, at least until Geese is out
Henry Gomez
How about Jin?
Nathaniel Carter
>That's rediculous. Tekken is a 3D fighting game with over two thousand moves, you're not going to be able to find data on the hit spheres/cubes already did fag youtube.com/watch?v=_d38_Pc6qvc
so the attacks are custom cylinders during the active frames and the spheres are where you can get hit. Now I have to wonder if some moves are retarded with a cylinder sticking way out past the sphere to beat my move
if tekkucks weren't lazy they'd catalog all this stuff like every other fighting game does desu
Robert Barnes
Tekken already had those kinds of characters in guys like Paul and Law, it shouldn't warrant replacing characters with cool and unique fighting styles that up to this point felt essential with some trash tier character with no style like Katarina
William Perez
Chanel playing some sets on twitch .tv/shudy_yoshel
Lucas Cook
>like every other game does Yeah, except those games have 15 moves per character tops instead of 100 average
Gabriel Brown
I used to main him in 6 which is what got me into Mishimas in the first place, but I really didn't like playing him in this for some reason
Daniel Gonzalez
>15 moves per character tops lmao no
Owen Hill
>spams safe strings and crushing moves that can't be whiff punished full screen
James Jenkins
C C I H T
Owen Evans
Tekken players are already the least lazy out of all fighting game players. There's so much more depth to the game, literally.
Easton Fisher
Anyone want to fight for a bit on PC? I haven't booted up the game in a couple weeks and don't want to be complete trash the next time I play my friends if I can help it. Even if they'll still bully the hell out of me regardless because of my main.
Colton Roberts
Nice game kekkens...
Brody Sanders
That's her secret move
Luis Taylor
stay free, friend
Caleb Edwards
Remember to dodge Jokongs
Jaxon Brooks
Looks modded.
Luis Hernandez
this is the perfect way to never get good
Nathan Bennett
when is the appropriate time to enter Feng's shifting clouds/deceptive step stance? I feel like I eat shit every time I try using shifting clouds.
Lincoln Jackson
I'm a miguel believer.
Brayden Allen
anyone have the imgur link of all the closeup shots of the girls?
It seems Kazumi is simply not doing it for me. All she has is poke while seemingly everyone else can launch you for infinite x10 damage and whatnot.
To who should I switch too?
Adam Perry
Bryan
Jose Jones
>how do hitboxes work in this game They're simply superior to all other peripherals, nothing else to it.
Nathan Roberts
Leo is a girl
Christopher Gray
If you can't win with Kazumi then you just don't know how to play the game. You only have to use like 5 different moves to win.
Kevin Wright
If you wanna launch all day, go try Asuka.
Lincoln Taylor
I'm looking forward to your inverse "All they have is launchers while seemingly everyone else can poke you to death" post.
Liam Davis
Please teach me sempai.
Using df+1 forces me to give away my pressure because my opponent can just jab me out of it. >Just side step yeah sure... db+4 can get me launch punished against certain characters WS 4,4 is like 15 dmg fucking wow even if you get a tailspin its nothing. Her sweep is trash. Her running 2 is piss easy to side step.
Honestly most of my damage with her comes from my hitting f,f 2 and if my opponent doesn't break it by some miracle, her command grab against wall. I watched a lot of pros playing her and I don't do anything different than them, obvioulsy with the difference that they are way better players and react a lot better to their opponents, they might aswell use any other charachter for bigger rewards.
Charles Flores
Out of over 1000 players there were just 10 Heihachi players. Sup with that?
There were like 20 bear players.
Easton Garcia
>complaining about characters in tekken
Nathan Stewart
It's big nigga season.
Charles Flores
It seems you're looking for some kind of tactic that will net you wins without having to use your head. That's not how this game works.
Robert Hall
Hes literally dead and mastering him is a waste of time at this point.
Anthony Wilson
An all Hei team just doesn't carry the same meme potential as an all Gigass or all Bear team
Kevin Hughes
Its seems you are making assumptions that are not correct.
All I am saying is that other characters get way bigger rewards for less and more safe work.
Owen Hall
It's simple: Heihachi simply isn't cool, because he's an old man. Nobody likes playing old man. That's why nobody wants Wang back as well.
The only popular FG players who constantly pick old men are JDCR and Xian.
There's a reason why Heihachi was much more popular in TTT2. Not only was he S-tier in that game, he was also young, so playing him felt cool.
Luke Mitchell
>T8 still 5-6 years away >Heihachi will probably have a literal clone of himself in story or another bastard child that's likely female to make his style more popular >Harada just asspulls and Heihachi survived again anyway
Camden Martinez

Juan Jackson
Kazumi is a rushdown character, meaning when you play her you don't even need to know the matchup
William Cruz
>everybody else has my same tastes You have problems
Landon Reyes
This is just wrong. Knowing matchups is important when playing any character. Let's say you're playing Kazumi. You do df1 into sidestep. The direction you want step depends on the matchup.

By the time i'm warmed up i'm already fucking sick of the game and my wrist hurts
Josie was a mistake
Kayden Smith
Why are there no yellows online? Been waiting for 15 min.
Jayden Ramirez
>Using df+1 forces me to give away my pressure because my opponent can just jab me out of it.
>do the follow up >side step hopkick >backdash hopkick >dick jab >iWS4, 4
Liam Martinez
There was like one Josie, but then game crashed in midlle of match. Now there is nobody to play at ranked.
Chase Butler
The higher ranked you are the fewer players around. This is the downside to ranked and winquitters.
Jaxon Kelly
how should I customize my gigas so everyone knows I masturbate to interracial porn?
Nolan Hernandez
Yellow is not high, and week ago there were much more players at yellow.
Aiden Parker
Make him as white as possible to show that, even at their biggest and strongest, white men are still little sissies compared to blacks
Charles Walker
The amount of anger Yoshimitsu gives me is not healthy
No character should have 400 unblockables and dumb fucking flying and healing shit fuck this character
Camden Bell
>shit as fuck >find a beginner Paul online >I'm stronger but he's way better at grapples and timing, knows how to play defensively >gives me a hard time and it's tied multiple times >he thanks me for the games after I leave and adds me It's been a long time since I met someone so civil
Zachary Carter
Throw out a 12-13f mid, or block. There is a brief neutral frame before DM if they never stop moving it's DF.
His Hellsweep is literally not different from any of the other Mashima's in terms of farmes
Who's 10 strings are even worth knowing. I can only think of those who's 10strings start d/f+1 or NC jab strings. Maybe Yoshi cause the last 3 hit can't be blocked?
Season pass worth getting? Noctis and geese look great but fuck me it's like $25
Dominic Lewis
If he was actually trying to get new players into the game, he'd include a tutorial, more offline content, and probably simplify the game in terms of mechanics. But it's pretty clear that T7 is pandering hard core to the legacy players, with little or no effort at all to make the game grow.
