I literally gave up on Warhammer and its lore when I found this gem right here:

>Named by its creator as 'Meikle's Equine Effigy of Dynamic Locomotion', the Mechanical Steed is one of the more dubious inventions produced by the Imperial School of Engineers. Its clockwork mechanism must be regularly wound lest the contraption grind to a halt. This is a risky and time-consuming process, and several Engineers have met with injury after the winding spring has failed and they have been flung into the air by a bucking metal horse. However, when a Mechanical Steed operates properly, anything caught in its path is likely to be demolished by the impact.

This is literally the most retarded shit I've seen in my life. A fucking robot horse, a godamn robot horse. I just cannot bring myself to life this setting again.

I cannot believe GW greenlit this. A fucking robot horse. How come the Empire is still using cannons and fucking musket if they can build literal robot horses? Do you realize the amount of technological advancement you would have to have to build proper horse? To simulate all of it's muscles and make it move properly?

Fuck this I'm done. Fuck GW and let's hope CA never implements fucking robot horses in the game.

>

Robot Horse mount for lords when?

I don't know what happened but the rebel army is completely divided, there are three units on the other side of the map. Fortunately these three don't have archers but do have the general so I can force them out with archer fire.

HahahaHAHAHAHAHAhahahahs

*wipes tears from eyes and slaps knee*

Man you kids... I LOVE it when you repost memes!

After losing twenty men to arrow fire the rebel woodsmen could not last long against the charge of our vikings. Our left unit moves to engage the other woodsmen, while the center and the right can now work to envelope the enemy general. The archers switch their fire to the general as well in hopes of taking out a few men before the melee is joined.

GW wasn't really sure what it was doing with the Empire in 8th ed as they were desperately trying to give them a gimmick to make them stand out other than PIKE AND SHOT. They threw everything at the wall to see if it would stick, including Steampunk like this. 8e is also what brought us Flagellants as they tried to amp up the religious aspects of the Empire (despite it previously being a cosmopolitan multi-thiestic state) as well as the Grim Dark to bring it in line with the more successful 40k.

8e' failure was probably the death knell of the setting and what led directly to AoS

By the time we make contact with the enemy general, both flanks have been routed. Note on the top right how some soldiers are continuing the pursuit rather than turning back to the melee.

Kill em all, old totalwarfag

alarielle the everqt when

Not to mention a lot of Roman emperors pre-Edict of Milan were boyfuckers, particularly Hadrian.

It's a one-off invention by a mad scientist, no need to freak out

A vicious melee ensues, but our axes cut a bloody swath through viking mail.

You got it, the carls were killed or captured to the man.

The enemy has once again foolishly divided their forces, if you look closely between the trees you can see their infantry off in the distance. The forest blunts the cavalry charge, but against archers it is better to get to close combat as soon as possible.

>voted for the wrong thing
>can't change vote

And I have once again foolishly forgotten to attach an image, so I shouldn't be too hard on the AI.

>Apatheist
Oh well that looks nice.

>no option for hindu

Where does someone who believes in the mystical power of belief and age fall?

Nope, Just a Serbian Greekboo/byzanboo, what about you Pastanigger.

Pagan is the option for you

I take it you lumped Buddhism in with Paganism?

Racist

After finally reaching the rest of the army, the viking carls refuse to come down from the hill despite being under arrow fire while the enemy posts the woodsmen to protect the flank from a cavalry charge.

A task they are poorly suited for.

I only used the image because I thought the artist drew her face in a really attractive way desu

>lakhmid campaign

>That one Gnostic fucker
I will find you, and I will argue with you.

Should have included an other option to incorporate new age religions and various bullshit

>Armenian Campaign

>dark elf (male) with that many votes

>New age religions
>Not bullshit as well

Being the last unit, the carls have little taste for further bloodshed and are quickly routed by the knights.

You can believe that, but I had to pick pagan as it was closest to my world view, and that leads to an inaccurate number

What should we do with them, /twg/?

Execute the Ringleaders

I, the first Temujin poster, will post the rightful ruler of all the world, the bedder of a thousand women and the conquerer of all before him until we get a proper Mongol total war.

NO QUARTER

Kill the leaders!

So what kind of newfangled Heresy have you gotten yourself wrapped up in then?

What's the artist?

>Been playing Total Warhammer 1 and 2 since release now
>Just realized in all that time I have never once used, seen, or fought against a Steam Tank personally
>Only ever watched them in webms/youtube videos
I'm not entirely sure how I managed to do this.

Like lmao play attila

Done. No window for that, but it's 1100 so we get this congratulations for keeping our one homeland province. This is part of Medieval I's unique method for achieving victory called 'Glorious Achievements".

...

I personally believe in the divine power of the human consciousness/soul, and that its perceptions shape reality, with belief systems becoming real as people believe in their power, and objects gaining spirits through their interactions with people.
I think pagan fits it best if only because of the shared animistic tendencies.
There's weirder shit out there desu, so there should be an other category.

Steam Tanks are pretty great senpai, they're basically great cannons that can fight in melee/run shit over

>objects gaining spirits through their interactions with people
Nigga thas shinto

And the rest is Pantheism

Man, wood elves have really now grown on me. Wild Riders and Treemen are so fucking cool. I love how Treemen have this stop-motion animations when they walk and how they just sound so pissed.

Gonna post the Charlie one, because I want to play Franks, but also dont.

Each realm has it's own Glorious Achievements, although everyone gets points for protecting their homeland, and conquering new territory. It seems to be graded on a curve, Spain gets almost nothing for it's homeland but gets good returns for conquests. Some catholic factions get points for crusades, and some get points for certain buildings. Whoever has the most points at 1453 wins the game.

Doesn't pantheism believe in a fully divine reality, with god encompassing all?
Doesn't really fit desu senpai

...

Currently playing a Cimmeria campaign in DeI. Just bumped up against Rome and they're not happy with me. I feel it's going to be war soon. Hopefully I'll be able to conquer Greece before that happens though.

>those [citation needed]s
>"Neutral Point of View is a fundamental principle of Wikipedia and of other Wikimedia projects."

Pull the other one, Jimmy. It's got an angry Armenian on it.

Post valiant defeats

Get born again man. Meditators and occultists get themselves demons. Run a search on /r/meditation for 'demon,' 'serpent,' etc. People are so without understanding that they encourage people to let intrusive spirits in, find their 'spirit guides' and so on, it's dangerous. Other times they will just say it's 'meaningless brain chatter' or a 'sign of enlightenment'. It's foolish. -- 2 Corinthians 11:14, Deuteronomy 18:10-12

You put yourself in danger the longer you dabble in alternative spirituality. I don't know that it's all lies, but it's definitely not profitable to your soul. There is a simpler way, by Jesus. God lives, Christianity is not a dead faith as portrayed. Call on his name, get humble and repent, and he will be faithful to cleanse you. I have a testimony.

God delivered me from porn, from weed addiction, from a lifestyle leading to death. He warned me in a dream. Once I admitted I was broken and confessed that I was desperate for him, God sent his spirit to comfort me! It makes me smile to type out; he had mercy on me and visited me in my rest; I felt the holy spirit! He lifted me gently off my bed, it was like nothing else I've experienced. He gave light to my darkness, and I felt it happen; warmth and peace.

Just putting this out there; I hope it finds someones heart. God is mighty to save, and Jesus is the gate. Enter through him and find pasture! Fall on the rock and be broken, lest he fall on you and you be crushed.

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." -- Revelation 3:20

Wow. I hate Jesus now!

the fuck

go clap in another corner you fag, save your pathetic attempt at enlightening the masses and martyring yourself to doorknocking.

Wew
Alternate spirituality, as you put it, has actually really helped me get my life back on track. I was miserable, fat and alone, and now I have the body of a chad and am enjoying a life of contemplation with my fraternity-in-faith.

I remember preaching on John chapter 3 - I've preached on it on many occasions, but this one occasion I was preaching on it and there was a chap met me at the door. He said: 'You really didn't say much there this evening, you just kept on repeating 'You must be born again. You must be born again. You must be born again''. I said to the guy: 'Do you know why that is?'. He said: 'Why?'. I said: 'Because you must be born again!'. I don't know whether that was the answer he was looking for, but that was the answer to that question. That's why the Lord Jesus actually repeated it Himself in John chapter 3, because this is the most important issue in life and in the whole spiritual stratosphere: you must be born again! You can have all sorts of other experiences in the natural and even in the supernatural - and, let's face it, some people do - but they mean nothing if you don't have this experience of being born again.

Glad faith has saved you.

Bob Gass went on to point out that before Christ raised Lazarus from the dead - you read about that in John chapter 11 - He asked Mary and Martha, Lazarus' sisters, to take Him back to the grave. He pointed out, and I think it's important, and I want to develop it a bit this morning, that the grave was the place, essentially, where Mary and Martha stopped believing. They had been hoping that Jesus would return from His ministry trip when He heard that Lazarus, whom He loved, a very dear friend of His, was sick. They had hoped that He would come and restore him to full health - but He deliberately delayed, and that's a whole other subject, and when He did come it was too late. But at that moment of the death of their brother, their hope died, they stopped believing - the point at which they gave up because of human limitations. But the reason why Jesus did delay - there might be several - but one is definitely that He wanted to expand their faith in the supernatural. He wanted them to understand that death is not a barrier to the Son of God, that our God is able to do exceeding abundantly more than we ask or even think!

What
Stop false flagging against the other christian guy

...

>Getting this assblasted over a fucking meme
>Ignore the fact that Ottomans still lost those battles
Hello Mehmed, whatcha doing?

Can ya not. It's just spam

Samefag

I fucking love all of the antiquity stories of Christian, Gnostic, Hellenic, and Manichean theologians arguing back and forth at each other.

Fuck right off

So, is Rome 2 worth 10 bucks or nah? I'm not touching Mortal Empires until Norsca comes out. I want to fight mammoths god dammit.

Reading about Saint Nicholas punching Arian during the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea was pretty great, probably gonna do a podcast on Early Christianity after I'm done making my current series.

No. Attila or Shogun 2 are both good options.

Rome TW + EB my man.

It could be? Depends on how much you like the period. I really enjoyed my Legendary Roman playthrough on it but I am one of those fags that likes to suffer.

Early Christianity is some of the most fascinating reads I've ever gotten to sink my teeth into. It helps that most who were involved were scribes or had a following of scholars and scribes. Everything from Desert Fathers to mountain mystics to tons of philosophical debates to thieves turning to saints, and goofy shit like you just described.

Yes, there are plenty of mods that give you whatever experience you want. The base game is fun, but mods like Divide et Impera are amazing changes for someone who played out the vanilla Rome II.

Playing Divide et Impera is a challenge but also rewarding. I mean, here is the world 170 turns in. There are multiple alliance systems and empires that formed. Attacking one empire will leave another border open to attack from another. It's neat

Santa Claus punching another Bishop in the jaw at the council of Nicea is still my favorite

It's hard not to hear posts with Carl images in his voice
Also heard this in Shake's voice

I already mentioned that here

No need to get defensive lol

What are differences between vanilla and this mod?

Whats your current series?

Fugg. There we go.

The first I did was the Byzantine Empire during the Komnenian Dynasty, now I'm producing a series about Timurlane.
