Units are almost guaranteed to be in another faction. What happens is that there's a 60 unit buffer of "ronin" units that randomly join at the start of the turn. As it gets more fully, it only accepts uniques as opposed to generics.

But yeah, you should be able to capture Rance or Miki once they leave their faction
Capturability is what said about being able to dismiss them if they are in your faction

Both of them come easy to their respective characters. If Wuu had killed Rola in a murderous rage that would be an impressive display of emotion. As it is, it's just Wuu being Wuu and Kay being Kay since they pretty much forgive and murder (resp.) everything they come across anyway.

So I'd say neither of those say much about whose love is stronger.
