Above is a pastebin of games you can play while waiting for SC and E:D to become playable.

Never ever.
I think the bucc is a meme i am kinda disappointed in it's performance i can lay a walloping but it is made of glass. Is it meant to be a hit and run fighter?

The new Mustang.

The good, from early concepts:
-Still has excellent cockpit visibility
-Flimsy skids are gone
-Bid farewell to the hobbithole
-Wheels for taxing, rather than plopping down on skids
-Thrusters closer to centre of gravity

The bad:
-Fatter and round. Looks like an Aegis ship to some
-Landing gear where turret used to be, might be gone altogether
-Weapon hardpoints out on the wings
-No EVA chamber, which was kinda unique to the Mustang

I think I'll hold onto mine and see how it pans out.

I have hope that all of CNOUs ships end up looking like Homeworld ships.

I really got that vibe from the Pioneer, but not really getting it from either Mustang. Still think the new ship we get to vote on should have been from CO just to flesh out their line-up some.
Is it CO or CNOU?

CNOU is what they have pasted on the top of the Pioneer so that is what we have been going with. I suppose people will get what you're talking about with either or.

>CNOU is what they have pasted on the top of the Pioneer
That's a pretty good reason. I've been using CO but I'll try to flip that switch in my brain over to CNOU.

For what it's worth, the HUD indicator says "C.O. Mustang ___" when you have one spawned, at least in 2.6. (Don't have access to 3.0 yet to see if that's changed.)

Elitefag here
So let me get this straight
SCfags pay hundreds of dollars of real money to get a "concept" which they will likely not be able to actually fly in the game for years?

>elitefag here

Mang don't even try, if you were an elitefag you'd have already been in these threads long enough to know the answer. Obvious bait.

Guys remember when you could get the full game and a Avenger for just 30 bucks, by buying from the grey market an amd mustang omega package for 25 and the CCU to a avenger for 5 bucks

>mfw you got it

Well fuck, I don't know what to do now.

user, do what makes you happy and what you think is best!

I don't browse this shit regularly because it's 90% SC talk

>Got the game plus ship by trading a copy of street fighter that i got for free on steam to
>Enjoy it so much i end up becoming a half grand whale

Looking back i wish i just upgraded to pack to a delta and maybe bought a new separate ship

But instead i upgraded my 2 month insurance amd pack up to a 185 dollar sabre comet and i cant melt it down or anything

and im looking at upgrading it to a reclaimer

Is buying Imp/Fed rank still a viable thing? About how much does it cost?

I can't wait to get my pocket carrier so I can hire a team of NPCs to solo my fleet while I fly my Javelin with NPC crew.

Yes

So who here has bought Chris Robertsland?

>First time in ages CIG has proposed a capital ship design that'd actually be useful.
>People ignore it to vote for another fucking $150 "starter"

Seriously. Just from the description the Vulture's going to be a massive fucking disappointment along the lines of the Reliant. You'd think people would get their head out of their ass and vote for the dadbus so they're not stuck waiting for their idiot friend to fly 45 minutes from where they logged off.

t. Whale

When does the voting close?
Also, someone post the link so I can see how the spread is now.

I really liked the sound of the corsair desu

As a fellow corsairfag, I have to ask: If it wasn't an option, which of the other two would you have voted for?

Salvager

A pocket carrier is sexy but we need more starter ships, especially for salvaging which as it stands is basically reclaimer or nothing.

Yes a ship like a buccaneer allows you to go to a wreck and take anything not bolted down, and no a ship it's size couldn't fit a processing plant like the reclaimer, but it could still have the tractor beams, and a small arm for tearing bits off a ship to put in its hull

Pocket carrier only to bask in the salt of a bunch of whales that bought pic related thinking they were getting a pocket carrier.

Different fellow Corsairfag here. I guess I would've gone with the Kraken, not for the benefit of whales but because it'll be a useful NPC asset and also because the Vulture sounds like shit. (I like the salvager idea, but the way they've presented it sounds like a glorified cargo ship.)

The Corsair really was the ship that should've been chosen, though. I really think the "midsize multicrew" class of ships is going to be an extremely important niche in the game and deserves lots of variety. You can crew them with friends instead of needing a huge org, you can fly them solo if necessary, and you can buy them ingame without devoting your entire life to years of grinding. A Connie-sized ship will probably be the average player's "endgame" ship.

See, i voted vulture just to assblast the TEST fags who thought they were finally getting their LE EPIC POCKET CARRIER

SC is supposed to be a space game, why is it such rollercoaster

It lost focus.

its focus is too wide

THE CONSTELLATION SUCKS AND I HATE IT
IT'S BEEN IN THE GAME FOREVER, IT'S BORING
WHY DIDN'T YOU VOTE FOR THE CORSAAAAIRRRR

That is one ugly model on the right.

Because the vulture sounds fun.

Goddamn the vanguard is sexy

If only it had cargo space

I'm thinking more in terms of earning it in game. No matter how you look at it, "Non-combat ship carrier" is a role that hasn't been covered yet aside from maybe a Hull-D conversion. I just wish they'd drop the idiotic bit about interior shops.

If you read the Vulture description it's not gonna have an arm or anything though. You're supposed to eva to pick up salvage to put into it. It's gonna be another overpriced joke ship.

Not compared to the concept
I hope their remodel or whatever makes it look good I have a Tali to Vanguard Harbinger CCU so Im kinda hopin it pays off not sure which I want yet anyway

Because ED has Braben fun.
And unlike ED, the money being put in goes towards making the game instead of being diverted to side game projects.

Oh, well that's pretty lame

I didn't vote in either case

>check total spent
>445
>Reclaimer was 450 on its own with store creds
>also have an avenger titan and dragonfly

>If you read the Vulture description it's not gonna have an arm or anything though. You're supposed to eva to pick up salvage to put into it. It's gonna be another overpriced joke ship.
They can easily change it, which I have a feeling they will once they realize while making it that it's stupid to have to EVA.

I want to play as a space hunter.
>get a few friends and fly to a random planet with hostile fauna
>bring out big guns and daka them all to death and sell their bodies.
That's the plan, now for the dream.
>flying around looking for a new planet
>pick up a beacon on a planet
>the beacon just says 'don't land *loud roar*' then cuts off
>land with my boys and we look for the ship
>As we find the ship a loud noises comes from behind
>a huge fuck behemoth behind
>run and gun for our survival
Think evolve and that's what I have in mind.

>I want to play as a space hunter.

Why are you hunting space?

nice blog post
how do i unsubscribe?

>It's gonna be another overpriced joke ship.

It's a starter. So I expect the price to be the same as Aurora/Mustang.

Nothing wrong with more entry level ships.

it'll be a profession starter so I expect no less than an $80 price tag

where the fuck are the webms

>If you read the Vulture description it's not gonna have an arm or anything though. You're supposed to eva to pick up salvage to put into it. It's gonna be another overpriced joke ship.

sounds like they should just sell the salvaging equipment instead of making yet another ship around it

With Item 2.0 I don't know why salvaging claws can't be equipped to weapon slots

needs to be a game in order to make webms, user

I made a buttload of them from awhile back but I've already posted them repeatedly so there's not much sense in posting them again.

And I'm not in 3.0 to make more

Holy shit look what someone found:
youtube.com/watch?v=CBYpsoJmrQY

I saw the reddit thread. This is crazy, the game's first interstellar explorer.

This has even more potential. We could get to ArcCorp. People that are trying this should position their backs of their ships in ArcCorp's direction so that they fly over the planet. If it's there and you can bail out of your ship in time, maybe you can EVA over to it.

I'd act quick, someone reported that they replicated it on their first try. If this blows up, CIG might patch this soon.

If you manage to get there, post pics or videos friends.

>Fall out of a ship stuck in warp
>watch it speed away on your hud
>adrift in completely empty uncharted space

how terrifying

>The sun wasn't even visible anymore, so as you can see space was a bit darker.

Absolutely terrifying.

>I saw the reddit thread.
leave

>thinks theres in-development 3.1+ assets present in 3.0 ptu
>reddit on reddit
can't make this shit up

Stop. I was in spectrum chat asking a highly specific technical question about the PTU because I didn't think I'd get a fast enough reply here. The guy linked his reddit post. I don't normally browse reddit, but the title was enough to pique my interest.

>>thinks theres in-development 3.1+ assets present in 3.0 ptu

CIG have done that half a dozen times in the past. How new are you?

Well, that's fucking terrifying.
Drive malfunctions during jump with no way to turn it off, speeding away from known space forever all alone on your ship, knowing you'll never be found.
Gives me epstein feels

that seems legit

Here's an old one

>Hawk bounty-hunter fighter
>Hammerhead escort frigate
>Land claims

I guess 2/3 ain't bad for the anniversary week.

Empty space in the middle looks stupid to me. Just weakens the ship, and leaves out useful space for no apparent gain.

it looks pretty

It can look pretty without a hole.
What could be an advantage of having a hole there? I cannot think of one

Say what you want about Star Citizen but the designs are fucking great

t. actual homosexual.

Is the top turret also the cockpit?

Cockpit is on the bottom

cockpits in between them

>What could be an advantage

There's not advantage it just looks cool. Are you German or something, you seem to have no joy in life.

I don't have any problem with the design, but I thought it was a little odd the bridge was at the front of the ship, rather than where he dorsal turret is. It's clearly a shrunken down Javelin.

>Are you German
I actually am, I like realism, fuck you.

Those turrets make me nervous.
>stray bullet hits the glass, vent atmos
>stray bullet dislocates the track, get fucked in a fixed position

Ship with bridge in the very center when? Having the bridges exposed like that makes them prime targets

Harder to shoot
>target computer aims at the center
>its vacant
>half your shots miss

And yet the shield covers the hole anyways.
Also, the hole is narrow enough that even if the shield didn't cover it, you're likely to hit the shit around the hole.

Do you think the shields will have a gap too?

shieldmind

Yeah I figured. There's something really wrong with you people.

You see comrade there's no hole in shield if there's no ship in shield

You realismfags really take this shit too far.

>all turrets are down
>pirates boarding the ship
>shoot at them from the strategically placed courtyard

So what are you hoping the FPS portions turn out to play like?

Arma/Escape from Tarkov-esque or more like Insurgency/Day of Infamy?

Agreed, but I don't see much roles they could aim for that would fit it without being redundant.

>medium mining ship starfarer sized

>fully enclosed cargo ship capable of landing

>Constellation sized fregate with lot of turret

>large ground vehicle that act as mobile base or a mining vehicle with a landing pad on top
I wish we had a ship which could actually carry that to the ground

Doom

Serious Sam

Turok

Like the one from Deserts of Kharak?

Natural Selection

Janky and shit.

Titanfall 2

Only ship I have is the 300i and reclaimer, thinking about getting the hawk, just I feel like its too damn pricey for what you get

I've not played that game. What's it like?

>star citizen with TF2 parkour in zero g
shit I'd play it

>capital ship design that'd actually be useful.
>a stupid undefended mobile parking lot
That's a bait isn't it?
The Vulture is pointless too
It's as if CIG got fed up with morons asking for their snowflake solo salvager and decided to mock them by doing exactly what they asked for
At least it will be small ship that don't ask a lot of work and all they have to do is give it a special ability to make 10% more buck from a wreck.

Best choice was always the Corsair or the Millennium data-runner Falcon

>The Vulture is pointless too
>It's as if CIG got fed up with morons asking for their snowflake solo salvager and decided to mock them by doing exactly what they asked for

My respect for CIG would rise from neutral to meh if this was actually the case.

The fanbase wishlist is retarded

How are the frames in 3.0 ptu?
Also how many player per server?
Also where are the webms of... anything ... anything at all?

Max Payne. Time dilation pops in during random moments in battle allowing for sick slow-mo firefights and dogfights.
