Competition doesn't work like this in any other competitive activity on earth. Speedrunners are fucking stupid.

Many reasons, because history and humanity is complex, but the main reason we don't use exoskelletons in 100m dash is because they weren't part of the original ruleset, just like how virtual console isn't a part of the rules the original software/hardware confined players to.
