I've had a few elements drop from the big chest in Tiger Tiger, but its pretty rare and you might need to be far enough in the story for the minigame's reward value to be high enough.

If I quick travel to eight rock step, and I go past where you fought ____Zeke____ and into the tunnel that leads back to Jebbas Cavern and the merc camp, have I overshot where i need to go?

Just get all the crystals + treasure and don't get hit. You don't have to kill all the monsters.

You don't have to kill every monster. You need All Ether, All Treasure, and No Damage. Note: This doesn't mean you have to take no damage, just that you need to be at full health. There is a guide on Reddit that is pretty good.

The biggest thing is that you don't have to collect every crystal. You want to get the Horizontal Rows of crystals and the Treasures most importantly, since the vertical columns of crystals are easy to get on the way back up.

Malos and Jin are okay once you know their whole story at the end of the game - their actions seem like random non-sense otherwise.

The other 3 in their crew were just stupid brats.

Morag is the easiest character to build since she gets two agility tanks for free with top tier modifiers. Don't worry about having finch

I just unlocked her for Rex, is he even slightly viable as a tank, or should I release her when I get Morag so she can get her? Plus it just seems like the whole military motiff is a better fit for her.

I did. went through about 40 on morag and got no rares at all. through a few on zeke and he got a rare. that nigga gets all the rares

You can get Theory, an Agility Tank, from a quest.

Sadly, she isn't particularly optimal on anyone, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Electra and Newt would be godlike on an Earth element Poppi team for Tora.

HP tanks in general are bad but her on rex is extra bad since shes Fire and you cant take pyra off. At best she can go on zeke but even then he has better choices

I'm tempted to make a gunner build with either Nia or Zeke so you will have to wait for results. Their skills do alot of damage but they have ZERO utility since they have no driver combo elements (break etc) and their autos are very slow.
