Aren't holy pals fucked on Vari due to 1 of the tanks always being unhealable and most of their healing coming from beacon. Also with beacon doesn't it fuck up healing if you have a 2nd holy I remember ours getting mad when someone else went holy.

we're not "fucked" on vari at all. yes, most of our healing comes from beacon and one tank always having debuff is gay, but you can take beacon of lightbringer and just beacon swap.

luckily for varimathras it's perfectly fine to offload a lot of your healing onto LOD since the entire fight is just ticking raid damage from a healer's standpoint. it's not an amazing hpal fight, but we are not "broken" because we have a bad fight every once in a while.
you burn something like 6 GCD's a minute beacon swapping on vari. not the end of the world. it's worth it.

Don't play holy much but I like their concept but why did Blizz make a Melee healer that gets penalized for going melee. Since you can't actually melee heal and need to sit balanced between the ranged and boss like their mastery doesn't make sense for what they want them to do.

it may seem weird but the numbers don't lie. on the vast majority of fights you will get very good mastery effectiveness, but versatility is almost as highly weighted for a geared hpal. hpal is just super simple and reliable. it's never bad and always in demand.

are you doing the encounters with no deaths?
Parsing means shit as a healer if no one is dying or has any threat of death, because the better the group is, the larger a % of your overall healing is overhealing, and therefore the lower your HPS looks.

I have no idea what class I should level on horde. I already have a geared Mage and Warrior on an ally serer and i'm debating whether or not I should transfer my dwarf sharman to horde and play resto. Any suggestions?

tell them not to recruit another hpal first off. you can work around it theoretically though. maybe tank damage is super high and you can get away with having two pallies running faith. on others consider running lightbringer maybe, one on each tank. neither pally will parse well but parses are a meme anyway.
