This one.

Any other brilliant ideas?

...

I wish I played during DLC release. PvP is nothing but ganksquads sitting in a room waiting for invaders

DS2's main girl was cuter
fight me

I really wish I'd saved a recording of Midir's massive laser lightshow during phase 2. It's so fucking cool.

Could anyone on PS4 drop me a Black Set and/or the Untrue Dark Ring? I messed up my first playthrough and was hoping someone could help me get those since I don't want to take this character into NG+ yet.

That's the stuff.

From all the games the Firekeeper from DS3 is the best girl ever.

>She always wants to know how you are
>She always talks to you
>She wants you to touch the darkness inside her
>Doesn't matter what happens she always want to stay with you
>Even when the flames are the most important thing in her life she will leave that FOR YOU
>After the first flame is gone she will stay with you forever

Hey fags so I stopped playing DS3 I think in the Smoldering Lake area because I was sort of stuck. This was several months ago and now I'm getting my ass kicked really fast because I'm rusty on the controls. Should I keep trying to find my footing or just start over? If I start over, what kind of character build should I make? This one is kind of a Paladin. Faith magic but not enough to call him a cleric.

Okay, I tried to kill the thing by myself about 20 times. Will someone just fucking help me already?

>feels like a clone of the Doll
I'm sure you mean "feels like a clone of the maiden in black" Because DS3's firelink shrine is clearly designed to feel like you're back in the nexus. DS3's firekeeper even wears all black like the MiB does, and a lot of her lines are callbacks or references to MiB's dialogue. She even has dialogue that she rattles off while you're in the level up menu.
Plain Doll is its own distinct entity that just so happens to be voiced by the same VA as MiB.

Have you ever stopped and considered that maybe this series isn't for you.

DS2 is my least favorite game in the series, but that doesn't make doormats anything but boring.

Shit I'm on PS4 so I can't do a direct screenshot and I haven't figured out how to shrink a pic on my galaxy s8 yet.

Vig 25
Att 14
End 20
Vit 15
Str 21
Dex 20
Int 10
Fth 15
Luck 7

post stats, weapons, weapon upgrade level (1-10 for regular titanite weapons, 1-5 for twinkling and scale weapons), etc then

>Shit I'm on PS4 so I can't do a direct screenshot
Nigger what? Take a screenshot with the share button, fucking retard. Then send it to someone and save it to your phone with the PS Messages app.

>tfw reply too late and look like a moron
Your stats look good, and you started with knight, so you have that going for you.
You could always backtrack to a previous area that's easier to get a feel for the game again.

I really want to help NoobAnon but I don't have PS4. Someone please be his k***ht in shining armor.

Oh yeah I forget about the share button because I never use it but you're right, I'm a tard. Still using Raw ASS +6

Does anyone even still play ds1?

>Raw ASS
Get the Broadsword or Long Sword Raw instead, ASS is literally worse than both now while having a FAI cost.

>he doesn't like sleep
what are you, some kind of framptfag?

You're fine. Go for 27 vig at least.

usually just with friends

>tfw
Why'd they nerf it anyway? It was only slightly better than other raw SS and it didn't have any other role to fill. I'm really mad that I can't say I've killed someone with burning raw ass anymore unless I deliberately gimp myself.

In DaS2, when someone summoned me, the controller would vibrate, giving me an auditory alert that I was being summoned. In DaS3, there's nothing. So when I'm puttering around the house, or watching something on my DVD player while waiting to be summoned, I have no clue that it's happened.

Is there any way to change this? This is one of the most annoying things about the new game.

All i know is going anywhere for coop is dead as hell. Its just sad.

Are you using DSCM?

I am seeing some PS4 Kniggas needing halp.
Gimme the passwords and I shall get to it.

Don't place your summon sign down and go AFK in an area with a boss alive dumbass.

Yeah the doormat that stays with you forever meanwhile any other girl in any game doesn't give a fuck.

On ps3 like a peasant

What's y'alls favorite type of magic in DS3?

Dark.
Sadly, magic in general is sparse.

Speaking of dark magic
>pic related

How bad is it /dsg/?
What could I improve?

basically anything that got nerfed

>PS2
it'll take me a while to set up
gl

so was Fromsoft at that event today? did they show anything? I saw people talking about it yesterday but google gives me nothing

That's good, they shouldn't give a fuck about some mass murderer going around.

Wat? The boss is dead on my end, I just want an ember.
My problem isn't dying, it's not knowing when I've been summoned.

obscuring ring + sorceries

Dark Souls 1 remaster for Nintendo Gamecube confirmed

Were you the guy asking about Murky Longstaff builds in the last thread?

You can get a more mileage if you go Mercenary class instead, it has far less waste Luck, the same amount of Str, more Dex for better damage, and more Vit for equip load.

Blindfold Mask is for death wishes, since a bunch of weapons deal Dark damage (particularly metafags doing 30/30 Chaos/Dark builds with a Dark Lothric K***ht Straight Sword. You can get the same results with the Crown of Dusk, it makes you look retarded but is far safer in the long run. And as always, Sc**lar's Candlestick in the main hand for increased spell damage output.

Depending on how much you're squeezed for levels, maybe try PChain over FaP+3, I don't know how the numbers work out for your current stat spread but it could give you some extra levels to play around with.

>SL125
>10 Vigor

get on my level

What's the basic DaS 3 meta someone should know before invading? I'm messing around doing red invasions in Irithyll because it reminds me of the chaotic Darkroot PVP in DaS 1, except I'm not any good at it anymore. I can barely even win any 1v1s. It's weird because I've hardly ever lost to any invaders in this game (and I do okay in the matchmaking arena), but I'm getting annihilated in the dedicated PVP areas.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the tips I got in these threads, I finally beat Pontiff Cocksnot tonight. Feels good man.

Oh you were talking about being summoned, I thought you were complaining about invaders for some reason. In that case just turn the volume to your TV up so you know when you enter someone's world or notice the absence of audio as you're in a loading screen.

Congrats.

It's pretty simple, use weapons good for your builds and know when to attack or retreat. Don't get prideful and just try and charge a host and his buddies, retreat into enemies when need be to heal and strike again. What are you having trouble with specifically and what build are you doing?

is SP better than MM? It looks like it doesn't have the messed up endurance values MM has when you equip favor.

Stats look fine. The only questionable parts are the parts you'd be breaking your theme to change. If you don't need to keep all of the thematic, you should probably throw on some ordinary magic and ditch blindfold. You could consider going for a lightroll though, but that would be hard to do without going up to sl100. You'd also end up ditching at least one of your weapons. Here's my three-way lightroll caster I used to have.

>watching DS3 invasions on Youtube
>every single time the invader dies:
>"Wow this guy's overlevelled."
>"Wow nice lag."
>"Wow nice gank squad."
>"Dark Souls 3 PvP is so balanced!"

That doesn't help when I'm watching a movie on the same TV using a different input. The controller vibration in DaS2 always clued me in. Is there some way to turn it on in DaS3 that I just haven't noticed in the settings, or am I out of luck?

>enemy archers/gunners in way of the demon and beyond inexplicably fire far faster than before and can always get off a shot while you're locked into the very short recovery animation after firing your own shots
Just how much more bullshit is there to deal with?

You're fucked, FROM abhors afk players

Oops, I just realized I was in the wrong thread.

Generic UGS build. Main problem I'm having is that once I get hit once, they just spam me to death and I can't figure out how to break contact. It's probably just my weapon choice making it harder, I had an easier time with UGS in all the other games.

What, do they just want me to stare at the screen for a half hour waiting to get summoned?

So when Shadows Die Twice gets revealed for whatever it is and BB and the Souls games start dropping in numbers in a few years will this become the Fromsoft RPG general or something?

Yep. XD

fucking sadists....

What are your stats? And if you're getting spammed to death you're likely getting in bad positions where you're getting cornered by the host and phantoms. I recommend trying to wait out hosts more and if they're just sticking around a bonfire just black crystal out.

Different guy, but seeing you guys talk about the murky longstaff got me interested.

(Soulsplanner has never done me wrong, overall is easier to use, and has more data than mugen)
Thanks for the tips!

SL109
42 VIG
30 END
20 VIT (muh fashion and heavy weapons)
63 STR (This felt like a really bad idea but my AR kept going up even past 50 so I gave it a try)
13 DEX

Other stats all pretty much irrelevant and at their base (Knight). For weapons I'm juggling between a Heavy Greatsword, Fume Greatsword (mostly for aesthetics), and I messed with the Profane Greatsword but I need to go quality to make it hit as hard as the other two.

Lower your vigor down to 39 since that's the most relevant softcap, put the excess points in END, VIT or DEX. Also either lower STR to 60 or go up to 66, 63 is a weird middle ground that's either wasted stats or not getting your damage optimized fully. I recommend getting Dex up to 15-16 especially as that gives you the best amount of weapons to use on a STR build.

>15: Dark Sword, Gundyr's
>16: Exile, Lothric Knight GS, Greatlance, Splitleaf (the best weapon on STR bar none)

The vertical UGS are sort of harder to use in invasions as they lack horizontal swipes on 2H attacks to deal with multiple people at once. I'd suggest switching out to a horizontal one like LKGS or using 1H attacks more. And don't obligate yourself to use ultras alone, in an invasion scenario they can be even riskier to use than in 1v1s as multiple people can get on you and force you to take way more damage than you're giving out if they are actually competent. Have a broad loadout and use them as appropriate.

is Ashes of Andariel worth buying? I kinda want to get it for the fashion and the weapons but people tell me it's not worth it given how long it is.

>actually care about starting class for no reason
>have a few less stat points for build
Why does such a minor thing have to bother me so much?

If you can get it on sale or with a cheap season pass sure, but not really otherwise. It has a few really good weapons for some builds and a boss most people generally find good (I don't personally) but the overall purchase for content/enjoyment value isn't worth it on the normal price.

if you weren't autistic enough to care about that you wouldn't be autistic enough to play any of these games more than once

The bundle is worth it maybe, I wouldn't get AoA on its own though, especially if you're choosing between it and TRC. It's good for the length though. I played through it blind and had about six hours of fun. Now it's just a shortcut to TRC wih some fun toys hidden inside it, plus some slabs.

I just want to have the millwood/vilhelm set to play with fashion, plus the Millwood bow so I can stop people from camping at bonfires.
goddamn why are the best Greatbow and armor sets are found only in one of the worst DLC's for dark souls.

If you really want those you can just have a friend or someone here drop them for you.

I'll probably do all of that and invest in a secondary weapon. I was actually just wondering if the Greatlance would be functional on a strength build, so that answers that. Thanks for the tips. I'm not really using a complete "build" right now, it's just my first PvE character I played blindly with. I got the urge to do some PVP so I just YOLO'd it with what I've got.

Already own TRC, so it'd just be a shortcut and some neat items + somewhere to farm sharp gems.
You've got a good point, I could ask someone on here.

>calls it one of the worst dlc's
>hasn't played it
erry tim

It's not that your statement is wrong or anything, but it sure is dumb for you to make it.

Yes Greatlance works best on STR as it has the best physical scaling with it, you can shield turtle with it and a good shield and go 2H for hyperarmor, fits well on the build in many ways.

Don’t forget the insane Leo Ring shenanigans and the Ultra Combo.

AoA was a waste of money for me: literally three interesting items and, then, just garbage.

It's generally considered to be an extremely short DLC, only had two bosses, with many people beating it in 6-7 hours blind, the only thing most people enjoyed was the addition of the Arena, the weaponry, comfy level design and Vilhelm.
while TRC took me personally 10 hours to beat, with people saying it took them around 10-11 hours, it had an interesting puzzle with Lapp's questline with chameleon, aesthetic armor, interesting spells and weaponry, My only gripe was how much swamp shit there was, the angels initially, and how the Spear of the Church Fight is terrible for the phantom.

>with many people beating it in 6-7 hours blind
Who the fuck said that? Not to project my own playtime as the general standard but most people when it was released took about 3-4 hours with 5 at the very most.

I look at it like this; Ariandel does these services for me
>heavy gem farming
>sharp gem farming
>fun weapons
>good fashion
>nice places to invade
>shortcut to TRC without having to reach the Kiln
>comfy snow atmosphere
However, as a standalone DLC, it's much too short for my liking, and many others' as well.

What's a good faith build in 1? 40 dex 30 faith cleric with double wog and both buffs? If I'm using buffs, what weapons do I use besides things like the falchion? Obviously turtling with a timed buff would be a bad idea, etc. I don't need to be totally meta, but I want something that makes sense at least.

I've heard many say 3-4 too, but given that someone would meme on me saying that I wouldn't know that, i used information so I don't have that.
It was one of the shortest DLC's for the Dark Souls Series and is arguably the worst one as well.

>Who the fuck said that?
People in this thread have said they spent 6 on ariandel, so it's natural to assume they took longer on TRC. Bear in mind most people take the time to invade on their first time through, etc.

The Doll from BB is the best girl. I want to see porn of Shanalotte the most though.

I had a lot of fun doing a full Havel 50 str/30 fth build. Maybe not "good" but it sure was satisfying to smash idiots that fall for backwards fatroll bait or twohanding a second greatshield to shitpost faggots that just roll backstab anything you do with dragon tooth.

Looking for a more uncommon PvP build to try in DS3. Haven't played it yet. Is there a decent rapier PvP build? Open to suggestions.

Are TWoP builds any fun in 1? Does it affect the user/should I get GMB?
