Where do I find the insurgent guys that are 'Near the old factory'?
I've gone to every place I can think of, but haven't found them. Around the Old Factory, I looked in the Old Factory. I looked around the Old Factory again and no insurgents.

Even ether weapons on a strength based character? Or does it not really matter for damage calculation?

It doesn't matter that much considering zeke has a high strength and ether. Of course, mixing ether and strength blades isn't a good idea (exception for Herald because she has a crazy passive). You can exploit Zeke with triple ether based blade.

The current objective is to find 3 insurgent groups scattered through Mor Ardain.
On on the city roofs, one near the shipping docks, and the other near the Old Factory, which I'm having trouble with.

Nia has 5 blades, Dromach, then 2 Rare Blades but they are both Tank and then 1 Attacker and 2 Healer normal blades.

Should I be always using the rare blades or use those 2 normal healer?

When you want an specific blade or you have most blades already, it is really useful for getting the one you want or the ones that are left.

What the hell is with all this backloaded story that isn't fleshed out enough at the start of ch9? First you have Amalthus who apaprently with just half of Fan's crystal core can do ridiculous shit like summon titans from all over the world and control most blades,
even half controlling a fucking aegis and the artifice. Then you have some poor ass attempt to humanize Mik by having do some suicide last ditch effort and confessing his love to some side villain that has 0 development?
Characters like Mik following Jin/Malos because of the atrocities of Amalthus against innocent people but have no problem trying to shoot lasers at Mor Ardain and its innocents or punching the fuck out of Indol even after he realizes civilians weren't evacuated? But instead of calling then out for being hypocrites,
the heroes are wanting to fucking talk no jutsu then instead? God damn jRPG/anime plots are stupid sometimes

The game outright state in an informant item that higher ideas increase your chances of getting rare blade. So it also affect rarity, not just element

Amaltheus had amplifier towers which you destroy to increase the reach of Faze's power.
Aegis whether it was powerful, was still a Blade who still has to follow some of the rules of the other blades.
It's not hard to humanize a character who never was demonized to begin with. I think what you mean is trying to get some sentimental investment into him despite having such low screentime.
I also think, the reason why they continued doing the things they did was because they were so deep in the shit already, there was no way to turn back from what they were doing.The heroes would be the hypocrites for doing the exact opposite of what they've been campaigning this whole game. To find a place for everyone to exist on. Even if they did bad stuff, it is not their place to judge them.

Just finished Chapter Two, and I was randomly exploring Gormott and found and Amethyst chip in a chest.

It drastically increases the dmg of my Pyra, so much so that I'm worried it might affect Rex getting aggro.

Should I give it to Poppi instead? Its a huge upgrade for all my blades p much

I mean, the game was long enough as it was. Fleshing it out more would just bore the player out. I wouldn't mind them making a novel out of the game and flesh things out, since it had a lot of potential lore.
