I've just counted, it takes around 3 hours of straight winning to reach level 10. Let's add a couple hours of squib tax for losing matches and generously sprinkle with another hour of waiting times, and you should be fairly close. By that time you should already have a grip on new controls, movement and some weapon knowledge (which you evidentally posess because you know what's hot in current meta).

The only good gun unlocked around level 30 is H3, and if you're a first-timer you're better off not touching it for another 20 levels because H stands for Hard.

The part that matters is balanced, kinda. Turf doesn't matter and is even detrimental as it claimed balancing of numerous weapons already.

Just guard alittle bit ahead of mid. Spawn camping draws your attention too much away from the actual places that matter and yeah it only takes one or two guys slipping out to make all your kills meaningless

Splat brella and splat roller? Charger is also very powerful on certain maps and can pretty much make it impossible to leave the base. But you have to have really good aim.
