Veeky Forums is the Rhodesia of /pol/.

It was founded by and for /pol/, colonised by them, they built good threads ane lively discussion and generally improved the site as a whole. Then Veeky Forumsddit came and started an insurgency here. /pol/ got bored with this place and left and now the few /pol/ settlers who built this place are now fiercely defending our way of life from daily "who was better, marx or engels?" threads. It can't last forever, as we all know, one day the kid commies will become too numerous and take over this place, but for now it's white and based.

Rather than actually making an argument you bury them in so much crap they can't actually argue against all of it, declaring victory when they don't go chasing after dozens of sources in the context of a debate lasting maybe a few hours. You force them to either admit defeat by not addressing the sources, or leave the discussion to address the sources and hand it over by default.

Even then, that's a tangential effect of a non-mature system. Before the refugee crisis (and I'd bet even now, but studies confirming that will be hard to find) there was a lt of evidence that the state was replacing the family as a social support mechanism. I would bet money that once social welfare becomes thoroughly entrenched for a generation or so and young women realize they can have children with multiple men without the need to work or find a provider, you'd see European birth rates pop back up. Teenage and twenty-something women I encounter in my daily life tend to still /want/ kids, they just don't want to ruin their lives by having them. Assuming the welfare state survives the massive strain it's receiving from immigrants, they won't have to soon.

The family is not particularly integral to 'western civilization', it's only important to white birth rates. Moreover, that importance is likely transient in the presence of large social programs.
