I more excited for NG+ coming in January being able to send Pyra and Dromarch off to do Merc missions along with obtaining story blades you couldn't before. I hope Battle Mode is like an Arena.

All this stupid blade driver combo art blade burst chain affinity finisher blue combo switch ring combo-obmoc attack. They just barf new terminology at you and there's no journal to review tuts with them just memeing at you with the overpriced informer garbage. Spent 3 hours doing the special I→2→3 blade combo thing trying to get two blade combo finishers when I needed a driver combo finisher which I had to google to re-learn break→topple→launch→smash It's like I'm really playing fucking NETHACK at the oracle or fortune cookie drops god damn.

Is there anything in the game that can survive this shit? Also, is it generally a good idea to try to just try to break the minimum number of orbs needed to continue the combo in order to get in more hits before full burst occurs, or should you just break them as fast as you can?

Some of the superbosses can survive it if you blow your load too early.

I can already do 99999999 damage with 4-5 orbs. Is that the actual damage cap or just the displayed one while the damage dealt is higher?

Gotta go fast. I haven't done enough testing to be sure but I think you fill the gauge faster if you pop more than one orb in a single 3-person round. I say this because I remember one at a time taking 5 orbs while you can get a Full Burst with as little as 4. And I think Full Burst's damage multiplier increase depends on how many orbs are remaining, so having an extra orb can mean quite a bit more damage.

The first time I got a full burst off I had 5 orbs on Amalthus near the top of the World Tree Which was a fight I was really struggling with because of his Bullshit regenerative abilities and my being pretty under-leveled for the area, holy shit, 1.7million damage with one attack, I know it's not a lot compared to what you fuckers are doing against the post-game super-bosses but damn it felt good

I was able to grind Cloud Sea Ken(110) and Reeking Douglass (104) at about level 80. Took about a dozen Ken kills before I hit 99

With some good strategy you should be able to do it. Seal reinforcements on Douglass and he's easy. Seal blowdown on Ken or have a good healer and he's easy.

Why wouldn't you like Malos? He's overall a pretty cool dude that got corrupted by one faggot. He's still pretty bro-tier, aside from his nonsensical movivations.

Reeking Douglas is the easiest super boss.
Just seal reinforcements and you shouldn't have too much trouble with him.
Reeking douglas is at the bandit's camp where you first resonated with Roc

Also, has anyone else noticed that the scene where Pyra and Rex fall into the Cloud Sea, with Rex reaching out for Pyra, was absent from the game? I'm thinking it might have been the original idea for the intro regarding how the team got away from Torna before it was rewritten.

I'm not joking, I just got 99 Vocal stamps and I'm working on the other 2 now. It gets slightly better as you gain up to 3 stamps per mission at level 5.

Regardless her heal on blade swap is pretty worth it. Plus its a good way of leveling lower level blades.

You can turn on shop icons on the menu map, just not for the minimap

X just had a vastly superior map. There was a shop icon even though it was pointless since there was only one shop. It kind of amazes me how bad the map is in 2 when the simple functionality of X could have been included easily.

Well locations in higher level areas seem to be better. And by that I mean ones surrounded by higher level monsters, not just later locations.

You get more dosh for selling sets salvaged from higher level areas.

You can get it low as 3min actually.

She is one of, if not THE best healer blade though. The fact that she heals just by switching in means even AI can be reliably counted on to heal if you set up an ice combo. It also means you can stick her on anyone, even someone who's not entirely specced out to be a healer.

Remember, they mean for people to be playing this game for an entire year.
