Just use a bat file, dump it all in your base and you should be golden. Then you don't have to install CT. I agree it's pretty tedious because it's not fun. You just hoover everything up then dump it at base. Especially for base building. It's tedious for everything really. Certain worthless items become ultra valuable because they break down correctly and you're humping a million desk lamps around like a pre war door-to-door hawker.

I'd like to see a scavenging overhaul. Sell all the (currently) useless medical equipment to Dr's for decent cash depending on it's condition. Suddenly Kellogs little medical room of pristine institute gear or other medical bays are treasure troves. To upgrade weapons you need to get specific parts from gunsmiths or armouries, now there's an incentive to rob Arturo or seek out these places in the city. You want to produce these parts from scratch, sure but you're gonna need to hire/build the facilties to do it, have the skills and the time available. Drug shops want specific ingredients harvested. Food shops and Diners want crops. High tech things might require you to salvage some nuclear material, then take it to a real full size lab in the world to process it, now siding with the institute has the added bonuses of using their facilities. Something about the way scavenging works feels so inorganic. "Here's my new power armour made out of hot plates and alarm clocks". "Yes mr gunsmith I will trade you 8000 coffee cups for a missile launcher". "What do you mean you have no use for oxygen canisters, medical scanners and pristine surgical equipment, Dr?"

Would be better if to upgrade your PA legs you had to go get working servos from the Buttercup factory or for energy resistance you needed ablative tiles from Arc-Jet. I'm not sure FO4 even supports the ability to sell things to different vendors for different prices, but it would be be another little thing to make the world feel a little bit more like a functioning place.

Service Rifle

Any gun with wood furniture will give me a raging hard-on, but the service rifle strikes me as both a relatively modern and quintessentially American weapon. I would like the Marksman Carbine even more if it well, wasn't a carbine.
I merely have an autistic fetish for standard-issue everything. I like regular infantry and equipment and generally avoid "spec ops" or "prototype" or other "special" things.

Curie, she is not very good stats wise but her perk makes me nearly invulnerable.
Also she is adorable. Very qt. Very fuggable. Danse comes right after her as also cute and the only reason I don't take him is because of the dumb Blind Betrayal thingy.

Deliverer because it's small and I probably wouldn't break my nose shooting it, and it wouldn't interfere with carrying a bunch of desk fans unlike many larger weapons. There a few good handgun mods too, like the p226, that I use for the same reason. I usually carry two pistols, of two different calibers.

Vanilla armor is the railroad coat. It has the highest protection in the base game and looks like an actual realistic home-made armor suit. It weighs a ton though, I can't actually wear it since then I have no room for other stuff. Modded I really like the new Strigadea Courser suit by /ourguy/ Niero. But same deal, it's not something I wear myself since it's a bit too fancy for me and I can't roleplay crafting it myself. I'm planning on keeping and using any I find though. I wear the Militia outfit by him as well, after I take the Castle and roleplay someone who gets into being a minuteman, after I meet Saun.

I travel with as many as I can and as early on as I can. I'm always with Dogmeat and Heather, and then after I meet her later in the game, Cait as well. Before I meet Cait, I usually travel with Piper. 3 is a good number, usually me, Cait/Piper, and then Heather. Dogmeat chills at Sanctuary once I meet the two human companions. I would never go out into the wasteland alone. That's scary and pretty dumb for someone like me, so I travel with 1-2 people who also sneak well and who I'm good friends with so we can help each other.

Depends, I'm fickle. Right now I'm loving the .357 Python. Revolvers are just cool, it's the big iron and it puts people down. It's fun to walk around waving in peoples faces. I do really like the AK's, they're a great fit for the world and I admire how their rugged simplicity hides a lot of very carefully crafted details also autism. The Plasma Cycler is also fantastic for the same reasons at the .357 but with EXTRA SCIENCE!

>Armour:
The Rebel by LordOfWar, it looks great it fits the world and it's practical. Plus the camos I made for it were my first attempt at texturing so it's got a little place in my heart. The HCD Synth uniform is great, Niero does fantastic work, you can make it everything from unashamed slutwear to a practical field uniform. Great for institute characters with an INT focus. The Strigidae is probably my favourite right now, it's really high quality because Niero and it looks great. It's a lot more towards that Courser/Blade Runner/Tech Noir style and it's versatile as hell.

I've used Curie a bunch because I'm an autistic fuck and "muh naive yuro qt". Clockwork Dick gets an honourable mention for having great dialogue and being generally pretty awesome. But the best companion is Dogmeat

FUCK MY LIFE I CANNOT FIX MY 3PP ANIMATIONS.
I've uninstalled every animation mod, I've installed multiple new ones manually and with NMM, yet I still get the lumpy, stomping about NPC animations when walking with my gun up and what looks like male animations when using the pistol.

Can anyone offer a piece of insight here? I thought it had something to do with my Pip-Boy flashlight because that had a few files to do with 3PP animations but I got rid of that and it made no difference.

You're fine. Spoiler version of this answer: You can find dynamite later to blow that door open, it's a pretty common item. The only thing in that wrecked Highwayman is an upgrade for the Highwayman that you find and repair later.

I use pretty much all of them, though I drop Veronica completely after doing her quest. I use mods to make combat more deadly and try and limit myself to 4 companions at a time.

So I got the khans out of boulder city.

So far its been Goodsprings, Primm, Nipton, Novac, Boulder city for me.

I feel like I missed out of quests and shit. I am level 10 now and supposed to go to the casino to meet benny.

Any recommendations? I dont want to miss out on shit. Everything was nicely paced up until Boulder city where I couldnt do jack shit except free the khans through speech.

You should do everything in the southern half of the map before you get to Vegas, and you should definitely be higher than level 10.

How are you still a low level? You should be atleast level 10 by the time you leave goodsprings just by grinding all the mobs in the area.

goodsprings has plenty of scorps and bloatflys, kill em and sleep till they respawn which is a few days and repeat till your atleast level 20.

technically there's a way to destroy the institute and leave everyone else alive but as always the game doesn't recognize it and you get prompts to kill the other factions

Because they're solution is fucking dumb. What's the point of wiping the synths memories? Your effectively killing the person that synth was. Honestly now that I think about it the minutemen properly wouldn't work out either, best pet would be the brotherhood.

If you're mm, you have some leeway in not having to kill the bos or the rr. But everyone else is bloodthristy.

I'm switching back to green. winter overhaul was nice for christmas but I don't like how the game looks, or rather, how objects in the world look since I do like the snow.

Plus it doens't work with darker nights and true storms which are some of my all time favorite mods...

Brotherhood is the most fun faction. It's also where the majority of vanilla Legendary PA parts are earned like Vengeance and Honor, the Templar's chest, the Visionary helmet etc.
