How do you guys overcome gear fear?
I am not really good at this game.

Step 1) sell all gear
Step 2) do factory with cheap pistol, scav vest and meds
Step 3) survive and loot rifle
Step 4) go raid with your free rifle

So I've been fucking around with nVidia control panel settings and I've managed to increase my FPS a fair amount by forcing FXAA/MFAA and disabling the in-game AA.

Setting I'm using:
>Antialiasing - FXAA -> ON
>Antialiasing - Mode -> Override anym application setting
>Antialiasing - Setting -> 4x
>Antialiasing - Transparency - Multisample
>Multi-Frame Sampled AA -> On
>Power management mode -> Prefer maximum performance

Getting a stable 65 on Customs and 85 on Woods with an 1080ti, mileage may vary.

who the fuck cares ho you can easily make enough to buy a rifle
Nothing is irreplacable even fully kitted out m4 can easily be rebuilt over a few runs.
Just fukcing go in with a gun and die and learn from your mistakes instead of being a hatchet soy boy
and pistols are trash you're better off with a vepr, which is a stupid good gun for practically free

Just to add, there is also so much less eye-rape with real AA.

Some youtuber deleted everything he had and made it all back with just a hatchet. While it is shitty cancer, the hatchet will always be there for you.

is EFT PvP or PvE ?

Buy SKS or Vepr, and run that. You'll never need anything better.

And do some scav runs to learn maps and get a feel for stuff. Easy way to make money.

Both, mostly PvP with some enemy AI thrown in to spice things up.

yes but you won't progress your character. Its only really good for exploring maps and practising with weapons. But new shoreline is so big it is a fun singleplayer experience that takes over an hour.

Well you can play offline but nothing is lost or saved, its mostly for testing.

only use items you can always rebuy for your standart loadout, level traders, improvise standart loadout ???? profit

Is it worth getting the good goy edition while its on sale?

No need to buy the jew edition unless you want expanded stash which can't upgrade in-game atm and a huge container early on.

Also wtf is going on right now? I spawn in Shoreline and there are two corpses right below my feet. Once I loot them I got sniped from no where, camping spawn kill is a thing now?

I don't know man, I did expect spawn killing when they introduce spawn points. Fortunately I didn't bring shit in that run so everything is a bonus.

standart edition is fine since they added buyable containers
bigger secure case is nice for str leveling i guess but other than that nah
i wont bother leveling softskills again till the full game either, shit tires you out fast

not sure how i feel about this whole time thing. I get why its there, just seems shitty that i seem to get such a low timer pretty often

holy fucking shit I haven't been able to kill anything in the past 4 hours, shot some guy square in the chest with a shotgun and it only did 96 damage, before that I shot guy 5 times with the AK74 doing 396 damage and IM THE FUCKING ONE WHO DIES???

One shot at the head can take you down instantly if you don't have helmet. This game is not just about shooting guys, you need to assess the situation.

If you bump into somebody and you know you can't make it, try shoot their legs just to fuck with them.
