The best way of raising your HP in this game is to reach Rank 155 and unlock an EMP on your MC to raise your character's HP.

Until then, unless if you're Light or Varuna you'll probably be averaging about 7000 HP.

it's almost always better to have Lucifer as your friend summon and then have Chevalier as your main, even if you have him. This is because of how good his call is.

This obviously changes if you need buncles or have other god tier calls.

Remember that all the Grand characters will eventually get buffed. Meaning DAO will most likely still outscore Doggo in the end.
