Obviously so they can buff irrelevant units later by giving them the right weapon prof for their element. Look at Chevira, they literally took away her sword prof and gave her axe so they have an easy buff ready for her at a later date.

for water fun is better because they have a lot of harvin and depending on yout team fun can be better for wind after arcanum sages come out. they get 2 harvin. 1 of the 2 might be better than the gw characters
