The resulting hyperinflation and subsequent boom in unemployment were a direct consequence on the Government's lack of understanding on how currency devaluation worked. There was an economic boom that lasted 5 years I'll give you that, until it drastically stopped after the crises of 82. The biggest one in the country after the Great Depression. The national economy got fucked because like all fucking neoliberal economies it heavily relies on foreign markets and a fucking massive private debt.

This economic model introduced during the military regime was lauded by many due to the macroeconomic indexes that remained stable for decades but underneath all this the excessive faculties handed to private parties and lack of state control lead to a drastic increase in economic inequality and social segregation, specially regarding health and education. All problems which still exist as of today.
