I thought about making one. It has some issues. All the good puzzle games introduce new mechanics/have you consider more aspects of existing mechanics regularly.
Along with that you can look at the competitive failure of Shootmania. Ignoring how it's just way too simple in mechanics and strict in tactics even their leagues set the same maps over and over. There's just no way getting past it. Competitive players don't accept that kind of variance.
