don't be deceived by the high view count:

1. Blizz paid for the stream to be featured on Twitch's front page
2. Blizz set up the battle.net client to autoplay the stream and restart the autoplay after a while if you turn it off; in some cases (like me) it restarts with sound off to make it more sneaky because they just want the numbers to show to their investors, not actual viewers
3. blizz were putting literally millions into hyping it up and securing a large number of viewers for this particular event, which was bound to make people check it out; once everyone sees it's crap they won't tune in again; their viewer retention is basically zero
