hey guys just wanna tell you that this is probably the coolest general on this board. I'm looking forward to checking you guys out again after I get further into the ace attorney-series, don't want to get things spoiled and such.

Are there any titles that are generally considered bad and I might as well skip them? I really liked the first game (save for the extra case that felt kinda unnecessary). The second game was cool too, but not as fine as the first one I felt.

Every game deserves to be played, and while there are a handful of games that generally fall in the place as people's "worst game" (Usually the second game, the fourth game with a new protagonist, and the first game of the spinoff series), they all have their merits, tie into the other games, and you may find that you like them yourself, like a lot of people do.

Just remember that a good rule of thumb is to play them by release order, and you should be good to go

You can easily skip 4 (Apollo Justice), which actually doesn't matter for the other games before or after it, cause it's pretty meh. Apollo Justice as a character gets more development in the later games anyway. Ace Attorney Investigations 1 is also mediocre, but necessary as setup for AAI2.

To win with? I mean it depends on how you play them. Probably Debeste since you're supposed to be incompetent with him, but you can also play him competently.
I'd say there's more characters that are hard to play as properly, like Nahyuta who has a specific gimmick to replicate, or the Payne Train cause you have to take note of which Payne is talking.
