You can. People who do that exclusively and don't interact with other players will make Solo Self Found characters, which actually can't trade or join parties. Some people here (me included) like to make fun of them. Like being a vegan, part of the SSF experience is telling other people that you are playing SSF. Most people do this by putting SSF in their character name. "SSF btw" is kind of a meme.

you dont need to vaal your staff to get +1 to all gems. its a regular prefix that can drop or be crafted on ilvl 50+ staves. same with the +2 to (lightning/cold/fire) gem roll, it appears as a regular prefix on ilvl 55+ staves.

No. You'll literally run out of maps or get stuck with maps 3 tiers below your capability.

Not to mention if you want to shape elder influence you need WAY more maps than will EVER drop for you.

my problem is when he 'freeze' you and apply some huge degen. I'm usually unable to live throught that even by spamming my health flasks and with ~6k hp. Or I get slammed by the huge tentacles or something like that

check your resist, defense layers and use a decoy/devouring totem. you really shouldnt be needing to potion too much

depends on what your goal is. if its getting to high levels (95+) at some point you just have go for safe grinds

if your goal is to push your char until it dies, then you do all content you think you should be able to do

probably just a side effect of how good fire skills are right now. between Molten Strike, Oni-Goroshi, and Solar Guard Spectres, it's not really shocking

if you want to take risks, go for it, and risks can be rewarding, shaper items can go for a lot on hc compared to sc, same with things like uber atziri (as well as selling challenges for them)
but if you want your character to live in any game, of course you're going to avoid doing content where everything can 1 shot you

if increased rarity had a chance of increasing the drop tier (t3 unique -> t2 unique, or alch -> chaos) it'd be sought after
as it is, all it changes is making item drops more likely to be blue/rare/unique and it has zero bearing on currency drops, and when making an MF build all you really care about is currency drops
