but lets be honest, covenants have pretty much never been good in souls games
at best they've had a 'turn in x for item' incentive.
some of the stuff like ringing into coop but them being opposite faction so it being an invasion is cool though.

but lets be honest too, FROM clearly showed they have no idea what they're doing with pvp with the abortion that was DaS3

Walking backwards is near unpunishable, whether it's duels or invasions- especially if it's invasions, when they have a summon to get between the two of you. Estus is also basically free to drink, and with the Dried Finger allowing an additional summon, actually trying to invade is, most of the time, a death wish.
That said, it can still be fun. I've been waiting for Spear summons lately and having a blast. Caestus running L1 a best.

thats just off the top of my head too. Invasions were absolutely trash, Darkmoons barely worked and required a community workaround (despite this being the second time they've tried it, it didnt work before either)
The near impossibility of invading succesfully made invasions revolve around a meta of - Hornet + Parry or Buff+Beyblade to even remotely have a chance
Game was straight trash. There was a reason that less than 6 months in nearly all pvp was duels at Pontiff arena

Repeating Pistol always does at worst respectable damage, if you don't mind the bullet consumption. Otherwise I think the Piercing Rifle gets roughly Evelyn tier damage at around that much bloodtinge, so there's that too.

If I make a co op character what level should I stop at? I'm thinking around 60 but idk

depends where you want to coop

Level doesn't matter for password coop, but for randoms, around 120 probably

higher level, like around 100, is better for the SRRC and getting random FRC chalices. Level 60 is great for cooping most of the story mode / story chalices and for doing invasions, and you don't feel so overpowered after you get FRC gems

I'd say 45 is a really good level to run almost every area in the game, you could probably use one of your pvp characters to coop super lategame like dlc, you might still get summons in the dlc at 45 though because it can be run right after beating amelia
