I've seen a bunch of posts online say the reason Donnel's popularity in America came as a surprise for the developers was because while the English version of the character was the lovable village hero country bumpkin, Japanese Donnel was actually just kind of racist and xenophobic.
Is this actually true? I've seen this repeated many times but I've never seen screenshots or translated quotes that would prove the point.

I've got a +Spd -Atk Braeda with Blarblade+, Moonbow and Fury3 that has been warming the bench for at least 8 months now. Would it be a good idea to give those skills to Lady lel(+Atk -HP)?

no, he's preety much the same. Few characters changed. Curiously the ones who changed the most are Tharja and Henry. Tharja didn't changed her dialogue much, but her way of speaking and her tone of voice changed drastically. Henry on the other hand changed a lot because his japanese gimmick doesn't ranslate well.

Differences in JP Maniac and US Difficult -

JP Maniac mode generally has 1.3x to 1.8x more enemies than US
Difficult mode, and those enemies are usually 2-3 levels higher than in
US Difficult mode. Also, starting chapter 18, Maniac mode enemies are
almost always promoted and of a high level, while a significant amount
of US Difficult enemies remain weak and unpromoted until chapter 26.
In addition, bonus XP per chapter is cut in half and all XP earned per
battle is subtracted by 5.

In terms of unit placement and item drops, the two modes are close to
identical, except US Difficult mode has had enemies removed and their
levels lowered. In all US game modes, Ike starts out with 4 iron
swords, while in the JP game modes, Ike only starts out with one.
Finally, the US version gives a 10% critical hit bonus to snipers,
swordmasters, and berserker classes, while the JP version gives none.
There are a few minor item differences - many US Difficult enemies

No. They don't need perfect IVs. None of them are on "borderline speed" tirr and so won't be completely fucked by it whatsoever.
People get way too autistic about "perfect IVs" when in 90% of cases it makes hardly any difference.
Obviously if you do get a perfect one later, merge into it, but it really isn't so massive a difference for people to constantly worry about it.
