Any hammer vets here willing to give a new hunter some advice? Is there a combo I should be doing to hit Anajanath in the head with more precision? Im not really taking damage but its just so tall that I feel all my swings just fall a little short. The only way I beat him in the story was from abusing the whole mounting system while every other monster I just hit and run with head smashes until I can chain stun/para.

At least one of the weapon types gets a few decent aesthetic changes, I haven't unlocked most of the final Rank 7-8 pictures so I can't tell but I've been severely disappointed by the looks and evolution of the charge blades aside from one familiar Rathalos CB.

However go nuts with weapon upgrades because that obviously carries over.

Low rank armors are spread thin in armor skills. Best bet is Speed Sharpen, but you can't really get that going until Odogaron appears.

it's punish draw not crit draw, i've found a lot of success with focus 3 and exploit 3 and using everything else on attack/utiltity

using those I chained KO'd kush about 5 times in a row with true charge hits to the head
