I've done everything except the logo and music, and when I work on either I know it's going to feel like "real" progress isn't happening and the project is going to "feel" like it's stagnating.

Nobody really buys font and actual font sales are pennies.
Their main income is to release font, put in on web under some shitty license that looks free and once you use it in your product you are done for. It's a whole fucking business through court and lawsuits.

Usually such things happen when two operations that are supposed to happen atomically (e.g., remove from once cell/collection then add to another cell/collection) are interleaved by another operation on that cell/collection which screws up the result.
