WW1 planes are weird for me, I hate the little fighter biplanes but the bombers are really, really nice looking for some reason. They have that sort of really sturdy feel to them.

I let the server expire last year because of lack of activity. It was up for about a decade, all based around pixel cars line pic related.
It was pixelcarlife.net . I didn't start it, but myself and the other admin developed the 2.0 that took a million million variables into account. At our pal we had maybe 80 active racers. It was all forum based. Over 500 cars, 40 tracks, rave teams, full driver skill evolution system. Tons of text based story. Aftermarket parts would have effects on your stats and multipliers. I miss it. Still have a Facebook group where the main players keep up.
I still have all the document files with the structure. It was my main pastime for like five years.
It makes me sad to look back on almost. The main database that had like 1000 pixel cars went down only like 3 months ago. There was pixelcars.com, my site, pixelcarworld (a direct rip off of our v1), and the line survivor, pixelcarart. The whole community is now less than 50 people.
We thought pixel car racer, the game app, might be our revival. It wasnt.
That said, yeah, near autistic detail in forum based rpg creation is my gift to the world. I will gladly lend it to this general.

We're near February at there is still no pre-order for the PC version of AC7 on Steam. Shouldn't the Steam store page come online several months before release? If it is, then this makes the March release unlikely.

It does often rely on some existing understanding of the source material in the viewer in order to 'work' as a representation.
It works well as a tribute, but it works very poorly as a way to rope people in.

I know that there are some well done examples of minimalism, but so much of it is just literal references to scenes in the movie, or to the topic of the movie like in that Top Gun one, which strikes me as really lazy.
To me it only works if you're aware of the reference. If you've never seen it, you won't know what the poster is referencing. It can be well done, but generally I agree, minimalism is way overdone.
