I swear, this is like dragon on steroids. At least with dragon they can brick heavily or you can punish their ramp greed with good tempo, but daria rune just doesn't give a fuck with piercing cancer.

The same reason why people say puppet is better than artifacts. One is better than the other.

Well it's a choice you make when building the deck, you can choose to build around Nep/Reanimate only or you can dilute the deck with more useful cards that don't necessarily help them.
