It's weird, it seems like a no brainer for Harada to release the 6 or so legacy characters people want, add a few more stages, the story mode costumes, ya know, shit people actually want and would pay for. but he just.. doesn't care. He instead puts in into a mobile game.

How do you practice defense? It's really demotivating to usually lose if my opponent doesn't let up on the gas.

Look for the chances to duck punish or similar. Lab characters a little, based on whatever it is that you find getting the better of you. How to even begin addressing Hwoarang's interchangeable flurry of kicks is beyond me though. Typically the three hit strings of each character have some scope for punishment, whether it be through a duck, low parry or sidestep. You just have to know what's coming. Case in point, Jin's punch-punch-kick and Kazuya's punch-punch-low kick-mid kick are totally toothless to me now. Just free damage.

My character can't sidestep and lately I'm having more trouble with string spammers and relentless aggression than I had before. I feel like there's a fundamental issue with my defense lately as I'm losing to shit I was beating like two weeks ago.
