I always hold my backrow as long as possible to the point of getting into low as fuck LPs (150 last combat) before using it. Sure, it seems to pay off very well, because people start ignoring it thinking it might not be something good because I didn't use it so far, but some day I'm going to run out of luck

So, I reached lv10, and here are my experiences so far:
Way more than half the decks I faced were GB and REz, a couple of burn, a single Ancient Gear, a couple of Dark Magician ones. Also 0 dinos.

It looks to me like Destiny Draw is a better Skill for Dark Magician decks than Master of Magicians. Plus I haven't fully leveled up Yugi or unlocked all of his skills, unlike Arkana, so I'm going with it instead.

Oddly enough I haven't faced rez, burn or gear yet

Well floodgate absolute murders hazy when they use pic related's effect to summon two more hazies. They have very few ways to recover if they get cockblocked that badly early on.

Can't Floodgate not touch Hazy though since it targets cards?

Floodgate doesn't target, also it can floodgate multiple targets at once if they summon 2 or more monsters from the same effect like with peryton.

Yeah if you have a floodgate set, never use it when they summon peryton until after they use its effect.

The idea against furries is to pick off their back row with yaichi and never attack until you're absolutely positive it goes through, sitting on Zanji with some back row makes things difficult for them as well. If you get floodgated hopefully you'll have a econ to tribute it and steal their monster.

Ive actually mostly been using 2 iroh 2 Zanji, going to experiment with 3 Zanji and see how it goes

Essedarii is usually just a desperation tactic that rarely pays off, you trade powerful effects for a generic beater.
