So I'm curious, is it possible for a mod dev to put in a conditional that makes NPCs be faster than you, period? Regardless of stats or proficiency or weapon speed.
I have 325 proficiency, a 118 speed weapon, and enemies with only 280 proficiency and a weapon speed of 100 always have their attacks come out before mine, even if we start the swing at the exact same point (kinda inevitable since the AI is so insane they animation cancel if their swing isn't guaranteed to deal damage)
I was curious if the imbalance was because I had a bastard weapon, so I went in there with both weapon modes and even tried a 1h with 6 less speed but still, 111 speed vs 100 should be more than enough to overtake it. Every single time their attack came out before mine, unless I did extremely cheesy animation cancels.
Their weapons aren't even exclusively 100 speed, they're like 90 or even sub 90. There's no reason why they should strike before me, but they do, and it's making combat almost impossible. I have to treat every single enemy like they're top tier Lord units, even though they're just elite troops.
I'm on the fastest game speed with the best AI possible in Prophecy of Pendor. At first it was kinda appealing because I thought I had a shitty weapon and they had a nutty insane one, but when I got theirs and more than surpassed their prof I'm still unable to get a hit in.

I was playing pendor the last year whenever I'd play, but now I've gotten super bored of it.
Because so much of the game is hard coded or an extreme pain in the arse to add content for (eg, new quests) you end up with what are essentially (in some cases, very fancy) reskins of the base game.
