I don't think a general has ever been banned. I was in one that was basically nothing but /pol/, gay ERP namedropping, and extremely bad ``ironic'' memes for about a year and it never received anything but the very occasional ban wave.

if you're comfortable with command lines you can use ffmpeg to compress the video down into an uploadable MP4, without loss of resolution
