In japanese it'd definitely be strange to be called a female dog, but in english bitch is basically its own term and definitively an insult. I guess what bothered me most was that in the original japanese they specifically used 雌犬 for female dog when I think they could have used just 犬 and that little bit was missing in the translation. I guess you could argue it was implied that of course she'd be a female dog. I may also be making a fuss over nothing, I'm still learning moon myself.

When she first showed up in Orleans I thought it was a cool concept and maybe I'd throw some tickets at her when she arrives, and that's it. She's after all really good gameplay-wise and that's what I thought people rolled for.

But then I start seeing all the memes, fanarts, comics, about how she's so hot and her personality is so great or whatever and now I'm totally lost. I mean, she doesn't tick off any of the usual boxes for weeb attractiveness - she doesn't have big boobs, isn't the "pure and innocent" waifu, isn't a loli or trap, even her art is pretty tame and doesn't show much.
