It might not have been this bad, but it was always present. I remember early on, people cheesed arcade mode with the LaGG because it was a boom and zoom monoplane with a motherfucking 20mm cannon, and matchmaking would pair it against stock biplanes. It was literally impossible for them to get shot down by anything other than another LaGG; they may as well have been an FW190 or a P47.

Fisherman's-tale-tier exaggeration in the form of Russian vehicle bias has always been a part of this game, and people have always hated Russians for it. Maybe it's finally reaching critical mass.

That's not a leaking engine from any damage btw, that's just from the engine going critical after flying anywhere above 90% throttle for more than a couple of minutes and then refusing to stop damaging the engine no matter how low I dropped the throttle

Playing T2/early T3 for most part, I'd say German tanks are better, all kinds of uptier-resistant glass cannons, but American are more fun being decent all-rounders

T3/4 for german is gonna be "late war machines vs time-traveling postwar ammo flinging machines". It's not gonna be pretty, unless you have ru251. At least around 4.0~5.0 things are easy for you because somehow players around this br are pretty good. Can't say the same for 5.7 onward.
For murica, it's slippery slop till you acquire Jumbo, then it's suffering again with 5.0 and above. Around tier 4 you're gonna get carried by Brit for the most part

5.7 (and uptiers to 5.7) is where the saltmine truly begins for all factions.
At your own BR you can pop them, they can equally pop you, but in uptiers you can't usually do shit frontally, while they only need to point in your general direction. That applies to Slavs vs Krauts, mind you.
If you play Bongs, you're stuck with neddle shells that pen but won't do damage, and have to snipe for components or/and rely on armor that doesn't work in uptiers.
If playing Burgers you have to choose between being able to pen and being able to do damage, and armor usually doesn't work even at your own BR

you're not generaolly better off with mediums. Almost all heavys have their purpose, especialyl when not uptiered. The tiger Is get uptiered all the time though, so you end up with a worse gun than the panther and armor that is worth nothing.
