I'm still somewhat new and not all that great. I still struggle with some of the harder 25-level songs, but can clear anything below that. Do you choose a different note speed with each song or use one consistently for all difficulties? At the moment, I'm playing best at 9.0 speed.

Changing note speeds often is a pretty counter-productive way to renshuu. I'm sure most of us would agree to pick one speed you're comfortable with and stick with it until you become Sayo-tier of renshuu'ing.

Pretty much, yeah. Technically speaking, the only thing note speed does is test your reaction time, and how far the notes are spaced out. I stuck with one note speed so far and haven't had any issues with the higher difficulty songs because of it.
