You're right what fun these BLOCKS are. It sure is nice having a jump that can barely move while in mid-air! I also love how half the levels look like dogshit while the nice looking areas are limited to hallways.

In terms of profit just from screenings, then probably. The MLP movie was marketed specifically towards little girls instead of as a family movie. I imagine the Sonic movie will be marketed towards kids in general rather than just one gender. That alone means it has the potential to draw a larger audience. There's also less of a stigma for Sonic than MLP despite what the Internet will tell you. Many adult/teenage Sonic fans probably won't mind being seen in public watching the movie whereas many bronies didn't feel the same way for the MLP movie.

In terms of scoring, then who knows. The movie is going to be a mess. It's been in development for so long and changed writers several times apparently. It's also a live action/CGI hybrid movie which is never good.
